I had to evaluate a teacher who the district was trying to get rid of for myriad reasons. She would stand on the table in the middle of her classroom and sing and dance (nothing to do with the curriculum), or she would lead the students on marches around the campus like some deranged field commander.It came to a head when we found out that she had students come back to school for “tutoring” from 7:00–10:00 p.m. (Middle School Kids) and during “break time” would take carloads out to a restaurant to eat without parent permission slips; all the while leaving the other kids at the school unsupervised for an hour or so.You would think that would be grounds for immediate dismissal, right?!!! Nope! That’s how strong the Teacher Unions are in CA. We couldn’t fire her, because we couldn’t prove that she endangered students deliberately. It was simply an error in judgment in the eyes of the union.So we documented for two years, articulating each and every infraction, and just when we were about to demonstrate that we had enough incriminating information (student testimony, parent testimony, witnesses, etc.) to actually fire her, a meeting was called where she alleged that she was being harassed by the administration and needed to go out on a stress leave.After the “stress leave” was over, she was transferred to another school, and the process had to start all over.I could site fifty cases of totally incompetent teachers surviving for decades by “playing the system” and using the union to thwart the efforts of school leaders to release these teachers. It’s a horrible system, and anyone who defends it, has never worked in a school and has no idea what damage it does to students and morale.

Ohhh ok here we go1 I would have a safe place for werewolves be built so any werewolf students have a safe place to go every full moon2 Binns will be replaced but can stay as a teaching assistant if he wishes3 Remove Divination as a class make it a club instead have Trelawney be club leader (we all hated what umbrage did to her at least i did)4 Make a special place for Myrtle where students can go visit and talk to her and rebuild the bathroom so girls can use it5 Fire Filch immediately no questions ask just fire him and hire a sane caretaker6 Have Hagrid take professional training and become the care of magical creatures professor until he retires7 going from 3 have clubs for different things like Book club or Quidditch club8 No more Permission slips for going to hogsmeade any year of student can go but 1st and 2nd years have to be accompanieda by a 3d year or higher9 Animagus Class for 4th years and above if a student manages it they are immediately registered10 Students can let other students from other houses into their common rooms and dormitories11 on that students are allowed to be in each other's common rooms and dormitories until 8:3012 the wamping willow we have magical wards placed on it so no students can go near it13 If/When the wamping willow dies/riots away a new memorial will be erected in it's place14 the pet list now includes Foxes Rabbits Dogs Ferrets (Your welcome draco) Guinea pigs Hamsters Sugar gliders Hedgehogs Turtles Chinchillas None-venomous snakes and small none-harmful magical creatures like nifflers and pygmy puffs15 there well be a dance at the end of each year for all students to attend if they so wish (There will be no alcohol served even to 7th years)And that's pretty much all I've got

Got an Invite from Amartya Sen to Join DSE (Delhi School of Economics)As an advocate of free markets economy, much before Manmohan Singh’s 1991 budget made it fashionable, Swamy’s market friendly views after moving from Harvard to Delhi School of Economics in 1968 were simply too radical and not palatable with Indira Gandhi’s socialist ‘Garibi Hatao’ India slogans.Anyhow, Swamy accepted Amartya Sen’s offer.The position earmarked for a young academician with market friendly views was a full professorial chair on Chinese studies.But, by the time he traveled from Harvard to DSE, other traveler academics at the famed institute had changed their views on Swamy.He was just offered a Reader’s rank at DSE. A sharp U-turn.Students backed Swamy.11. Moved to IIT in 1969Swamy taught economics to students at the IIT.He would often meet students at the hostels and discuss political and international views.By now, Swamy had made a name for himself.He suggested that India ought to do away with Five Year Plans and stop relying on foreign aid.According to him, it was possible to achieve 10% growth.12. Dared the Establishment during the Emergency DaysIndependence and the gross human tragedy that unfolded after partition was something that a young Swamy saw up close. He was witness to the partition survivors’ daily struggle taking place just outside the family’s government allotted house at Turkman Gate, Delhi.The emergency (1975-77) made a political hero out of him. Founding Member of the Party that Won Elections after EmergencySwamy was one of the founding members of the Janata Party that swept the Indira Gandhi emergency regime out of power in 1977.Though the party splintered Swamy stuck on and was its president since 1990 till the party was merged with BJP on 11 August 2013. Opposition often joked about him heading Janta Party as being a general without an army. But, he has been that way for a long time.17. Swamy’s Blueprint – A Guiding Light for Manmohan Singh in Early 1990sAs the country’s commerce and law minister during Chandra Shekhar’s brief term as Prime Minister in 1990-91, Swamy laid the foundations of economic reforms in India by creating a blue print.Dr. Manmohan Singh, then FM presented the interim budget for 1991-92 under Congress PM Narasimha Rao.The same blueprint was later picked up by finance minister Manmohan Singh under Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao to deliver the country of Nehruvian socialism.18.
