When a transgender person transitions there is a time frame where your ID doesn't make the gender you present as. Many times HRT changes the face so much, they don't even look like the same person. I was even asked if I had my sister's ID when going to a dance club with some friends. I live in a liberal area and simply told the bouncer I was trans and it wasn't a big deal to him and he let me in. It can be awkward having to out yourself whenever ordering alcohol, using a credit card or getting pulled over for a traffic violation. This awkward period can last anywhere from several months to many years.Depending on where you live, there are different rules/laws on when you can update the gender on your ID. Where I live in NJ, there is a DMV form that a doctor or state licensed therapist must sign stating your have medically transitioned. (Surgery isn't required to medically transition in my state and HRT is usually, but not always required.) I also had to legally change my name which varies state to state, but always requires a court order and that process can be expensive and take time. I represented myself in court and it cost $300 in court fess and another $175 in document and publishing fees since you usually have to publish the petition in the paper under legal notices. (Attorneys wanted $1500 to do it.) It was a 3 month process for me and with some research and I was comfortable representing myself in court. For me there was a 3½ month period where my ID didn't match my appearance and that is substantially less time than most.A lot of states like TN (where I used to live) require surgery to change the gender on your ID, but getting your name change is a similar procedure, but there have been a few cases where conservative judges denied a name change when someone it transgender. So in those states transgender people can go years where the gender doesn't match but the name does. A year of being full-time is required for surgery and not every transgender person has surgery plus it's expensive ($23k plus without insurance and not all insurance companies cover it.) However you can change your passport and social security without surgery, so that gets some through it all.It's a lot of work changing everything since even after your ID, there is passport, social security, banks, credit card companies (and credit report), utility companies, voter registration, etc. It's also a big expense that delays or prevents some transgender individuals from updating their ID.

What does election results mean? Is it a referendum of sort? Where should Hong Kong goes from here?ELECTION IS A COMPLEX GAME:First and foremost, election is a money consuming complex strategic and tactical game.Knowing and optimizing voter database and make sure those will vote for you come out to vote is part of the game. Depress those that vote for the other side is a dirty game that is still also practiced.The “pro-democracy” camp is obviously much more organized and have executed their election strategy much more successfully.They have voter registration drive for those between 18-40 much in advance and organized.They even had ability to mobilize individual supporters to keep lining up to suppress the older voters (supposedly supports the other side) to vote!They tune to say what their voters interested or wanted to hear.They have “big data” to show them how to get their voters motivated.They use modern tools of social media with much more effectiveness.Of course, they may also have expert advisers from US and even funding from NGO, and interested parties, etc.That also reflect how clueless are the folks on the other side. (BTW, You need to come up with a better sounding name. Examples: Hong Kong for the 21st Century Party, Party for Successful Hong Kong, etc.)Relying heavily on traditional standing on streets and pamphlets?Not organized as a party or group. Each fighting for themselves.No organized tools to reach voters down to household and individual levels.They should take a lesson from how the US “Republican Party” do their election campaign.If you are in the election game, play the game of democracy. Or you will be buried each time.It may look or sound bad with funding from China directly. But you have no choice but to play the same games with experienced election advisers or do your homework as a team. Definitely you need coordinated funding and supports for any big data and voters’ database management.Trolling and campaigning are opposite of the same coin in electionSecondly, the people of Hong Kong, and the successful political party has 28 years to help developing a workable democratic system that is a bridge between the dysfunctional US Presidential or EU Parliamentary System and the CCP Centric-Meritocracy Parliamentary System.Democracy is indeed a universal value. Every country and every government, other than a few monarchies left all strife to find, formulate and execute the best possible democratic process. After all, any social contracts in forming a government cannot possibly have a predesignated top leaders or even lower level leaders.The longtime so called democratic countries such as UK, US that Hong Kong people are most familiar with are now burdened with a democratic election system that tied their hands for any long-term planning and efforts because of the not-so-gentleman like behavior of the politicians.The worst form of democratic system is the “direct election of the President” (“universal suffrage” as may be called by the Hong Kong pro-democratic folks). Examples are proven in almost all African democracies, the South America democracies, and the Taiwan and Philippines democracies that are close to home. It is up to the future “Party for Successful Hong Kong” to proposed systems and solutions. If you succeeded, it is a good example even for China in 28 years. If you failed, of course, it is also a good example for China not to commit the same error.THE FUTURE: THE LONG GAME FOR CHINA AND HONG KONG POLITICIANSHong Kong Government Must Reform their Education Curriculum NOW.We must accept and realize that this election clearly reflects the opinion of 18-40 years old voters that have been driven and guided to registered to vote en masse.This 18–40 years old group is the 22 years education results of the “General Knowledge” curriculum. This is the same and unified approaches by the educational specialists in both Taiwan and Hong Kong 22 years ago. The end goal is to eliminate the concept of being Chinese. The best way to achieve that is to minimize or even better is to eliminate the teaching of Chinese history. To quote someone that Hong Kong pro-democratic folks know well, George Orwell: “The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history”.Accompanying that was the concerted efforts of slanting against mainland China. Starting with lies of “massacre of Tiananmen Square” (Tiananmen Square, 1989 — Revisited ) to “China being the threat to the world” and intermingled with part truth about some mistakes and failures in some of the development attempts in the late 50s’ and of course the Cultural Revolution.Some of us older will remembers how the slanting of China included destroying Chinese Culture and traditions. Of course, now China is the defender of all good aspects of Chinese culture, traditions, and unparalleled archaeological efforts and discoveries.The reform of the education curriculum is purely administrative and 100% within the prerogative of the Chief Executive and her Education Chief. I AM SORRY TO SAY, THIS MUST BE DEMANDED BY ALL (INCLUDING CHINA).Hong Kong Government Must Use this Opportune Time to Reform the Hong Kong Taxation and Land Management to Remove the Scars and Disgrace of Hong Kong Housing.This is an opportune time. The housing prices is now depressed and thus reforms will not dramatically affect the real-estate pricing. Both the tycoons and the real-estate owners cannot fight against this “mandate” now. In fact, recruit and work with newly elected “pan-democratic” folks on this housing affordable and availability efforts. See if they really wanted a better Hong Kong?The National Peoples’ Congress must help to amend the fixed 3% tax rate and enacts requirement of independent tax assessment agencies for those holding Hong Kong land for speculation and value of real-estates. At the same time, also enacts the requirement for any future housing developers to provides an accompanying fractions (say 25% +/-) affordable housing and also some form of rent control that are pegged to the per capita GDP. There is no way to get rid of bad judges if they did not die, committed a crime, or declared insane. Hong Kong Judiciary system must be changed by the National Peoples’ Congress so that Judges are accountable to what they do and may be reviewed for reprimand and dismissal. Currently, CE is only assigned with the right to rubber stamp the recommendation made by a panel with 5 out of 9 being from existing legal system not appointed by the CE. You only need 3 among the 9 to veto any suggested judges by the CE appointed panel members. This is an unheard of system. US president appoints all federal judges and can only be blocked by the majority of the Senate.There is no existing ordinance and insufficient guidelines in enforcing legal professionalism. Being officers of the courts, instead of the supporting and defending laws existed and the legal processes in place, the association of the lawyers and their members, and even judges, consistently attempted to destroy the credibility of the legal processes. They are not subjected to reprimand and/or disbarment by an independent legal panel with jurisdiction. One worker expects to “flip” 7000 votes herself to Democrat.Project Veritas went undercover to expose a seperate ballot harvesting scheme in late Oct, 2020. Undercover video reveals names of judges, and elected officials including a senator in TX who have purchased votes. State officials say they are illegal. GOP refusesThe Northampton County GOP in PA says that it has witnessed about 10 cases of ballot harvesting while party volunteers have been monitoring the county’s four ballot drop boxes from a distance, according to party chairwoman Lee Snover.Michael Bloomberg paid 16 million dollars to pay convicted felons in FL to get registered. They face up to 5 years in jail.Trays of mail in ballots were found in a ditch in Wisconsin on Sept 22nd.Alyssa Dau in ME charged with forging name on former roomate’s absentee ballot and voting in Nov. 2020 election.Voter Fraud found this year from previous election (s):Democrat Michael Jackson, Councilman elect, Democrat, Alex Mendez, councilman elect, the brother of Democrat councilman elect Shahin Khalique and one other we’re caught in an election scheme in NJ and charged with fraud in casting mail-in vote, unauthorized possession of hundreds of ballots, tampering with public records, and falsifying or tampering with records in 2020 primaries. All three congressman had won the election with Khalique winning by one vote after 2nd recount. They face between 10–31 years in prison depending on their different charges.Project Veritas uncovered a ballot harvesting scheme in Omar Ilhan’s (Democrat) district in MN demanding the ballots of older Somalis and buying them from younger Somali’s. They uncovered that Omar has a hundred people doing this. There is video of person showing car full of ballots bragging in Somalian. President Trump requested an investigation.Norman Hall and 8 others in Los Angeles, CA. Voter fraud scheme buying and changing hundreds of votes - offered cash and cigerrettes to homeless skid row people in exchange for signatures on ballots in 2018 election and were sentenced between 1–2 years in jail.April Atilano, Madera county, CA 12 counts of felony voter fraud-falsifying voter registration forms in 2018 election. Most of the cards turned in were turned to Democrat. She faces up to 10 years in jail.On June 26th, post office worker caught on camera dumping mailers from Sheriff Troy Nehls (R), who is running for U.S. Congress in TX. Lovely Eliabe faces up to 5 years in jail and 250,000 fine. Michael was also arrested in 1980 for election fraud and became first person ever to be forced to step down as a member of the House of Representatives. Now he faces up to 90 years in jail. Former federal judge, Dominick DeMuro of Philadelphia, also At this time admitted to stuffing ballot boxes for specific Democrat candidates on three seperate occasion in the three most recent elections.Bradley and Jentry Jasperson -Pacifa, CA- both signed over a 100 signatures on ballots in 2018 election, convicted of perjury, identity theft, ballot petition fraud, made $5 per ballot- sentenced in 2020 to 2 years in jail.Rodney Allen Jumper-AZ and NV duplicate and triple voting with absentee ballots in 3 elections in 3 different states.-class 6 felony-fined in 2020 $5000–2 years probation.
