If you like to travel, a fun way of improving your geographical knowledge is just reading travel guidebooks. E.g. If you've always wanted to go to Thailand, find a guidebook on Southeast Asia and look through it (borrow from the library if you can, guidebooks are expensive). You don't have to study it cover to cover, just use it for light reading.The advantages of this approach are:- It's fun. Planning or imagining travel itineraries is often half the fun of travelling itself. At no point will you feel like you're studying.- By reading travel guidebooks you'll actually learn things about these places. Making them come alive in your head will get you thinking and makes it easier to accumulate knowledge because you will actually have associations to link them with. For example, reading from travel guidebooks that you can travel from Bangkok to see the Temples of Angkor and then onto the Mekong River in Vietnam is a much more colourful way of learning that Thailand borders Cambodia which in turn borders Vietnam than just studying a map.If you don't know anything about these places, or have no interest in them, then countries will only ever remain words on a page or blocks on a map - and you will forget whatever you learn as quickly as you learn it. But making countries come alive, associating them with the locations within them, e.g. rivers, palaces, cities etc. will help you gain knowledge in a much more efficient and fun way, in a way which will seem almost effortless...

Although i live in Europe, i am not an expert in planning an travel itinerary, i will try to present my views and areas to focus on while planning the trip.First, the word "cheap" is relative. You need to be more specific with the amount you are willing to spend on the entire trip. When compared with Indian standards, nothing will be cheap in Europe except from few things (Flight tickets, Wine, Apples etc;). When you travel with Ryan air or easy jet in Europe, tickets are dead cheap, you can also take the advantage of bla bla car, share a car with strangers and talk to them (best way to talk to a European). I don't understand what you meant by the word closest. Every country in Europe has its own culture,lifestyle and unique identity. Every country is beautiful in one or the other point of view. If you have lush green landscapes and castles in your mind, Austria is beautiful. If you want to meet nice people and have great beer, Belgium and Dutch are good. If you want to experience cold weather, Scandinavian region is nice. If you are a romantic type, France and Italy are good. If you are into history and culture Greece is a good place. Germany is a great place for everyone. I suggest you to make cost as fixed parameter and plan your travel.Second, When you apply for visa, you will get a Schengen short term visa for 90 days, so you are free to visit all the 26 countries in the Europe with out any additional paper work (UK is not part of schengen area). I advice you not to limit your self to one specific country when you have the opportunity to visit many countries.Third, Your point of touch down in Europe is most important. For example, If you make Brussels or Frankfurt as your base for the entire trip, you can visit maximum of 5 to 6 countries in 5 days. Since you have only 5 days try to concentrate on the big cities like Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam, Luxembourg City etc; Remember you have to use flight when traveling from one city to another, don't worry about the flight tickets in Europe, they start from as little as 10 euro.Fourth, The season you are planning to visit. You should carefully see the weather report of the places you are going to visit. I suggest you to visit during Easter week of April. In this way you will get a chance to experience the European way of celebrating a festival and the flight tickets will be relatively lower.If you insist on visiting one specific country, visit different cities of Italy from Northern city of Milan to Southern city of Naples. (Milan to Venice to Bologna to Florence to Rome to Naples). Pisa is also a good city to visit. Arrive at Milan and take off at Naples or Rome.Again, these are all my views and you are free to visit any country in the Europe. Bottom line, what ever you do try to make the most out of it. What you feel right now,it is wrong dear. Getting respect from near ones has no connection if you are working or not. Absolutely not. Actually when you were working you had a sense of individuality within yourself, you could for any family member anything you liked, you were free and didn't have to explain anyone for your expenses. Actually you are missing your freedom, your individuality, your confidence.As a psychiatrist I can tell you that you are actually not respecting yourself. To earn respect, you must be willing to remain calm and collected regardless of the situation. If you lose your cool and allow emotions to take over, it will be much more difficult for others to view you in a positive light. You were working once. It means that you possess great communication skills. This means you have the innate ability to speak to others on a wide variety of topics. Further, you are able to engage the listener with your words. To accomplish this, you should refrain from telling dirty jokes, using poor language such as cuss words or yelling. Instead, you are warm and speak with knowledge on the conversation topic. Your way of communication will give you lots of information. To regain the respect you have to do something as when a problem occurs, you don’t react emotionally to it. For example, say you are on a trip with a group of coworkers and you try to check into a hotel and they don’t have your reservations. Certainly, this would be a frustrating problem to encounter, but in this case you don’t complain about the problem. Instead you tackle it. In home,you address the problem head on. In this example, show the attendant your work’s travel itinerary if applicable. Another solution could be to call whoever made the arrangements to see what they can do. The goal here is to find action steps to solve your problems instead of complaining to the attendant about it.Along with solving the problem, you are diplomatic in your responses. Even if the attendant is rude or unhelpful, you take the high road. You treat them with respect and you work together to find a solution. By doing this, you show your coworkers you are in control of the situation, which can earn their respect.try it now,all steps. It really works.
