Part of my spouse’s job involves auditing medical records to determine if the cause of an infection is nosocomial in nature. Back before a runaway industrial accident sterilized the Earth nearly everyone had one. The Focus was the natural evolution of the cell phone. Consequently it allows the protagonist, Aloy, to view text, audio, and visual logs from the “Old Ones”.The Focus isn’t just a detail thrown in to explain a few otherwise inexplicable game mechanics. It also has in important influence on the story in that in lends credence to Aloy possessing knowledge and perspective above her primitive peers.

By being the most kick ass employee ever.Be genuine and honest with enemy.Be professional at all times even when you want to throat punch them.(My achilles heel is my intj stare. Say/do something stupid and the stare happens and hard..like tonight with sterilizer logs and loads…….sheesh people)While hard to do; don't ignore them, include them occasionally into convo/decision/activities.(My hard line at work is eating lunch with me.
