In UK Law they are obilged to send you a statement of account at least once a year to show the balance and interst accrued for that year.If a brand new account does need to be opened, then they can do that over the phone by sending you ether a templated application over the interent, which can be over-written and not a protected document, down load it and fill it in. At worst print it off, fill it in, flat bed scan it when complete, send it back through the e-mail as an attachment and a copy of a flat bed scanned supporting document as a above.
