To be fair — “no ships” is a red herring. Most ferry companies do not own ships. They lease them as required.Similarly, the UK train companies don’t own trains, many airlines don’t own the planes they use etc - they lease them as requiredSo if that were all, then this would be an unfair criticism based on a misunderstanding of asset finance.BUTIt is not all… Not by a long way.There are a whole stream of things about Seaborne that stink.It is sailing to Ramsgate. But the harbour cannot accept RoRo ferries. They are dredging it, but that won’t be finished for weeks after Brexit and the needed date.Ostend is not ready either.Ramsgate will not have any infrastructure for goods clearance or customs. Since that is the whole point, this is a bit of an issue.HMRC have no plans for staffing either.Seaborne has not signed any contracts with Ramsgate or Ostend to confirm it can actually use the ports, even if they are dredged.Beyond that, as John Bartram points out, Ramsgate physically cannot take the larger ferries. So as a plan to reduce congestion at Dover this is (cough) imperfect.Seaborne is not an established company (unlike the other contract winners DFDS and Brittany Ferries) - it is a start-up with no track record.The company’s website legals were cut’n‘pasted off a food delivery service, in a rush. It even said “delivery of meal” !That is bad in itself, but it reveals a much bigger problem. A shipping company can cope without ships - it leases them. But that needs LOTS of legals: contracts for things worth tens of millions of pounds are not trivial. Contracts for services, delivery, logistics, insurance are all critical too.Someone quoted in FT said “a shipping company is a law firm that leases assets and contracts services”.If Seaborne can’t do the basic legals on their website…Seaborne management have several worrying things: bankruptcies etcIt has no money or net assets. It seems that the only way it can lease ferries is on the back of this contract. That is very odd (to say the least).only incorporated in April 2017 and with liabilities in its latest accounts (as at 30 April 2018) shown as almost £375,000 after discounting just £35,169 in tangible assetsIt has nothing in place: no staff, no policies, no infrastructure.Road Haulage Association (RHA) chief executive Richard Burnett pointing out that ‘Seaborne Freight has three months to source the vessels, recruit and train staff, and put all the infrastructure in place to launch the service before we leave the EU. It sounds like a very tall order.’As of Jan 20th Seaborne has not yet started recruiting.So ten weeks to recruit, hire, staff to serve notice, train and then start work. After appearing for descriptive paper on 22nd November in prayagraj, took a dip in gangaji at Sangam,had lot of fun with other ssc aspirants.Uske baad ghar wapas akr,jitne bhi marriage invitation the,attended all of them, ring ceremony haldi, mummy/bhabi ko shopping k liye le jana etc etc…feeling like got a new lease of life…after many years felt that much relaxed…even my mom said ki “aisa lg rha h awara ho gya h,koi pdai likhai nhi h iske pass".Even my family members never used to insist me to attend any functions, but now they are saying “ab mna krk dikha,baki sb busy hue to tu hi jayega shagun dene"(Me with my mom at a ring ceremony)Meeting colleagues of my previous company i.e #torrentpowerlimited, with whom I had no contact after resignation, now accompanying them in few booze parties.Also Running,cycling,push ups, contributing in household chores with mom and bhabi, enjoying dhoop these days, no books no library just eat-sleep-repeat…Today going Newdelhi for cpt of cgl 2018.And very soon, going to join “Border Road Organization”(ssc chsl 2017) in pune as ab koi weddings bhi nhi bachi h and not having any future goal/exam as of now!!!

Thanks for A2A.I don’t recommend Myanmar as a place for remote worker. The living expense is fairly high compared with Bangkok where I am living now and also there is other issues such as internet access, high real estate leasing rate and so on.
