The doctors working at TMH are considered the most renowned in the field of oncology.There is a General patients department and a private patients department, Although the doctors are the same the time and cost of treatment are different. Hey there,I study in Aiims Patna , and have visited Aiims Bhubaneshwar a lot of times. (Oh and how can I forget Aiims Delhi xD).I haven’t been to other Aiims.You might say that I am being biased, since I belong to Aiims Patna, but in this answer I will merely mention some facts about Aiims Patna.Before you continue to read further , heed some warnings :You are asking me to rate “AIIMS Patna” and NOT Bihar.Please DON’T compare it with Aiims Delhi. Aiims Delhi has been there since decades.Aiims Patna came along with the 5 other fellow Aiims Institution in 2012. You can say now its too early to compare the 6 (Well maybe? Atleast you should know how fast Aiims Patna is progressing)There have been a few answers related to Aiims Patna , most are 2–3 years old.INFRASTRUCTURE :Aiims Patna is spread across an area of 134 acres , largest among the new Aiims.Nearby areas are full of farmlands , extensions can easily be made if required.Hospital :OPD & WardsEmergency & TraumaAayush Building : Has ICU,some deparments of OPD and wards , IPD , Blood Tests,urine/stool analysis and sampling ( Used to be Old OPD)2 Medicine stores near OPD with a discount upto 20 - 30 percentPatient Inflow :A year ago we had around 1,500 patient per day flowFew months back , bus facilities were available from Gandhi Maidan to Aiims Patna, spiked to 2,500 patients only in OPD15 buses from Gandhi Maidan to AIIMS-Patna from today - Times of IndiaDigha Aiims elevated road is near it’s completion and moreover Emergency was opened. There are some restrictions to a few websites, though people find their ways.In case of power-cut, generator is immediately turned on.No need to worry about cleaning the room since , CHS people will be available until 8 pm and they will do it for free.You can get the phone number of electrician,carpenter,etc in case you get some problem in room.You get a bed(with a drawer attached to it) with a mattress, study table,bed side table, chair , Almirah,book shelf, cupboard.1 tubelight , 1 fan , 1 dim lightCHS will clean the bathroom and all the floors daily.Each floor is provided with a common room having TV facilityStudents of a floor can contribute for 2 washing machine.Elevators are available.For pictures , look at the answer given by Naren Kumar Sahoo Naren Kumar Sahoo's answer to How are the hostels of different AIIMS? Check it out here :Each Cadaver is used by 25 students.(Total 4) Previous years we had some issues and there were “false rumours” that Aiims Patna does not have license for Cadaver. Its all false accusations. We have got fresh 6 cadavers and there are more to come.Bones can be issued and can be taken to your hostel rooms and yeah , you can also sleep with the skull, the “most awaited” dream of any UG student(well atleast for me maybe?)Histology lab with around 25 microscopes(you are divided in groups)Models and everything available.Biochemistry labHaematology LabHuman Lab : PS - This was a free period thats why its looks so full.FACULTIES :In MBBS : 108 excluding SR & JR. AIIMS PATNAFaculties are really helpful, they stay until 5 pm so in case you got any doubts you can ask them after classes.“Good Faculty” its a subjective term , if I like the teaching style of say Professor X , theres no guarantee that another student share a similar opinion. First MCQ paper is given with 20 MCQs, yes you have no prior knowledge about it. After 10 mins, classes are started and Professors from other departments (Like Dr. Ravi Kirti sir) and teach along with the faculty of the department. Then after the class, you are given the same MCQ paper and mark again.SEMINARS :When syllabus is near completion , seminars are started in all subjects.A student is given a topic, and he/she explains it in front of other students and teachers in blackboard(or chart paper/ppt)Mcq paper is given before the seminar starts and again after seminar to evaluate the students.RESEARCH :Professors encourage students to take part in research and all. They can collaborate with a Professor and can forward their paper to ICMR.ISARCON & NAMSCON : National level seminar and conferences.Various workshops. Can stay all night during exams.PG Seats :From this year 78 PG seats will be available with 50% preference to students of Aiims Patna.This year a total of 15/50 students have cracked PGINTERACTION with Seniors :We have got a healthy interaction with junior and seniorBoys senior are called Boss(Girl’s call them Sir) & Girls senior as Ma’am.No senior is allowed to even raise a hand on a junior, ragging is out of the question.Once fresher’s is over, they become family !Seniors try their best to guide the juniors not only in studies but also issues related to other things as well including personal!May it be help with Najeeb Videos, Kaplan videos, PG entrances, which books should I read, how to pass in exams within 2 months to mujhe wo ladki achi lagti hai , mera life mai kuch nahi ho sakta , anything!Oh and our seniors have also made a website for us, to help us during examination. Few years ago, I went to a renowned homeopathy clinic. It runs a nation wide chain. This clinic provides treatment for a wide range of ailments like hair problems, skin problems, obesity etc. I went up to the reception and informed the receptionist that I had an appointment at 3pm with Dr Xyz. She checked and asked me to wait. (Let's call this receptionist R1). There was another guy who was sitting beside (Let's call him R2). He was also registering patients who had come there. He was handing over registration forms to patients. In the registration form, the patients have to mention their ailmentWhen I entered the reception area, I found a middle aged lady and her daughter were already waiting for the doctor's call. I sat beside them. Seeing that middle aged lady, I understood she had hair fall problem. She got a call from the doctor, she went inside while her daughter waited outside.This is when their game started.R1 and R2 started talking among themselves. Not very loudly but loud enough to be heard by the daughter of that lady. Since I was sitting just beside her I could also hear what they were saying.It sounded like a normal chit chat between colleagues.R1: hey R2, don't you think manish had an appointment today?R2: I guess so. Let me check though…..(After fiddling with computer)R2: Yes, he has an appointment today at 6.R1: He is such a good person. Do you remember the first time when he had come in here for treatment?R2: Oh yes! Of course, he had such bald patches on his head. But now look at him, he looks totally different.R1: Really!! He looks so smart now!!! How long it had been since took the XYZ hair treatment therapy?R2: Six months ago. I was there when the therapy was being given to him.R1: Really, the therapy worked like magic on him.R2: Wait, let me call him to remind him of his appointment.R2 dials a number…..R2: It's not reachable.R1: send him an SMS instead.R2: yes.. took out his mobile and started fiddling with it.Then they resumed their normal workFew moments later, the lady came out and sat beside her daughter.Lady: Doctor examined my scalp, gave me medicine for a month and told me XYZ hair therapy is best for me.Daughter: yes, the receptionists were saying that it worked like magic on another patient.Lady: I should take that therapy.. What say??Daughter: How much it costs?Lady : Don't know. Doctor said the receptionist would tell me.By that time, my turn came up. I went to the doctor.10 minutes later, when I came out from doctor's chamber, I saw the lady handing over few one thousand rupees notes to the receptionist.I thought: they have caught their prey!!!!Anyone who would have listned to their conversation, he would have thought that it was a normal chit chat but it was a well played trick!!!!
