The short of it - Yes.The long of it -The VAR decision for Llorente’s goal seems to have been horribly wrong, or has it? The ball skims of his arm, and he gets the goal - that shouldn’t be a goal in my mind. But, the rules don’t cover for such situations right now, and the goal stands. The on-field referee must take a look at the screen for himself, especially while validating a goal, which is what they did in most cases at the world cup. They can’t go half in and then blame the technology.

The image shows it all!10 red cards, but perhaps he has never been this emotional!No, he DID NOT deserve even a yellow, forget about the red!If you have watched the whole match, you'd agree that The Ballon d'or holder was clearly getting into the groove. Just 6 mins back, had almost created a Manchester United-esque chance with an impeccable cross. And he was clearly looking all sharp, ready to hit the back of the Valencia goal…And then it all started. First, that shove he got while moving towards the goal, then being ganged up during that dead ball taken by Pjanic, and finally that obstruction that he warded off. A tap on the head of defender (for God's sake, how can you call that hair pulling?) And hell broke loose for him. The fifth referee behaved as if he had witnessed a crime in front of him, and the on field ref, already loved and famous for his decisions against Juve in the RM vs Juve final or Swiss vs Serbia match, gave him his marching orders.This was clearly a disgrace to football. I mean, I have friends who want him severely injured, I also have friends who quarrel for hours that Messi is the best, and all of them found this ridiculous.Hopefully, UEFA has replays of the same, that it can play during the appeal and beat itself up for such a pathetic event.Another reason we need VAR…Edit: Early reports suggest Ronaldo would not be handed a further ban, as experts suggest that the foul was 'too soft' for additional sanctions. If the same happens, Ronaldo will miss the home game against Young Boys but will be back for OT return.Now let's hope the ref doesn't show his smartness by punishing him for 'delayed exit from the pitch'!
