PDF Editor FAQ

What does “essential worker” really mean?

Essential workers are the people who actually ensure that society runs. The people who produce food, and the people who get that food to you.The people who maintain the roads, and bridges, and prevent your building from falling apart.Nurses, and doctors, and firemen and so on.It’s a rather small fraction of the overall population. In theory, we could split those jobs up, and everyone would be working maybe one day per week, probably less. And we would all have food, and housing, and healthcare. And a lot of free time to engage in activities that we actually do for pleasure. The thing is, when you access housing, you are not just paying the people who built and maintain the house. They get a tiny fraction of the rent you pay. A little bit also goes towards property taxes, but again, it’s a small fraction. You are paying for the passive income of the guy who owns the extraction rights on the natural resources used to make the house. And for the passive income of the owner of the building company. And for the passive income of the real estate speculator who sold it to you. And for the income of the people who own the bank that financed it, and so on.How else are they going to have enough time to golf, and smoke cigars, or go boating? That’s why you have to beg them to let you produce some luxury for them, before you are allowed to access housing.Dear sir,Please find attached my CV, which proves I am willing to do just about anything for money. I have also attached reference letters from my previous masters to attest to that fact.I am young, dynamic and motivated, in fact, I’ll be anything you say I should be, because I’m quite desperate.Since you control access to the essential goods I need for survival, I am offering to massage your feet, cut your hair, or dance like a monkey to entertain you.Do you need someone to carry your golf clubs around?I can be a good servant, I promise, please, I don’t want to die of cold exposure this winter.Thank you for taking the time to consider this application and I look forward to hearing from you in the near future. In case you do not have any suitable openings at the moment, I would be grateful if you would keep my CV on file for any future possibilities.Yours (for money),Unemployed worker Nº 234 932

I'm 30 and homeless. What is the fastest way for me to become a millionaire?

Hello, my husband was previously homeless and now we're millionaires! I believe it was within 10 years to figure it all out and do it “from rags to riches”. But now we know the shortcuts. First off you want to create a great list of skills and experience you have and get it onto a resume (get a template online, at a library). Go to goodwill and get your best outfits together. Join a cheap gym for showers and get all cleaned up. Print out a bunch if resumes at the library and just go up & down the main drag in all the shops & restaurants and (most important part) ask a Supervisor what they need help with. Busser, barback, dishwasher, host are all great entry level jobs to get your foot in the door until you can sweet talk your way up.That's how to get provision (even while being homeless). From there look for a room for rent on Craigslist (be picky about who you live with) and don't tell them you're currently homeless (that scares people off). If possible have positive documents you can show them like bank statements showing money flowing in, acceptance letter at your new job, credit report if its decent, reference letter from a past roommate, paystubs, etc. Now all's you really need is a $20 air mattress from Wal-Mart and some sheets and a lamp from Salvation Army. Now here's the millionaire part. Study everything you can about Wholesaling Real Estate. Join the Facebook group “Wholesaling Houses Full Time” on Facebook and just learn everything you can. Google the words “REIA” and your county, and show up for meetings there, they teach you how to be a Real Estate Investor. Observe everything you can and connect with everyone you meet on Facebook. Go to every club you can find out about. Connect with other “Wholesalers” and “Rehabbers” and keep all their contact info. Ask the wholesalers if they have any properties available and what they'd pay you to bring a buyer. Once you have a commitment, forward all the information to the Rehabbers and be the middle man that connects them. Collect money.Do a few deals and keep talking to everyone you can in the industry. Then become a Rehabber yourself and you'll become a millionaire within a couple years.#BOOM!I travel around speaking at events and conferences teaching people how to do this.

Can you get a real estate license during your period of probation if you have a felony on your record?

Speaking only for Michigan license law, yes you can. However, it is very unusual for that to happen. License law does not allow a person to be turned down for a felony on their record. So that will never be the reason. Instead, the felon will be turned down for “lack of good moral character.”I served on the State Licensing Board and we once approved a young man for a license with a murder conviction on his record. He was fifteen years old when he got into a knife fight with another youth resulting in the death of his opponent. After his release from prision, and still on probation, he applied for a real estate license and was denied on the bases on “good moral character” He appealed his denial before the board. Based on the multitude of reference letters, personal references and the agreement of the broker he would be working with, to prepare monthly reports on his real estate activities, the board approved his request to hold a real estate license. He was a very motivated young man who did very well in school, involved in a lot of after school activities and respected authority. In general a very good kid that was provoked into the fight, took the knife away from the opponent and stabbed him with his own knife. So it can happen.
