Dremel sells a diamond tip drill bit it's pretty small maybe 1\8 but it works good and if it doesn't have to be a perfect hole you can poke it through then grind it wider and wider it's best case if you can run a slow steady stream of water over the glass during the drilling it goes faster and the bit will last longer. Alternatively if you need a bigger hole with more perfect circle then harbor freight sells a fairly inexpensive set of diamond hole saw bits but with these you must use a drill press and have your glass secured to the table below the bit water applies here same as the first suggestion and also whichever way you decide upon gloves and goggles are mandatory you may think that this goes without saying but you wouldn't believe how many overlook the safety of their eyes and fingers everyday and believe me it's not worth it so safety first.
