PDF Editor FAQ

Is FIITJEE GMP helpful for JEE preparation?

I belive FIITJEE has designed GMP in the most random way possible.Physics and Chemistry GMP don’t have some nice questions. They are easy when you are comparing it with level of JEE Advanced. Maths GMP is nothing less than a nightmare. Our maths teacher told us this that all the teachers of FIITJEE have contributed to make the GMP, means most problems has been made by FIITJEE teachers on their own and I was very amazed that they picked up so many tricks and so many concepts to make just one problem. From the perspective of JEE Advance, solving maths GMP is not a good choice if you are short of time because the level just don’t match up. Its just like finding roots of[math]x^4 [/math][math][/math][math]+ 3x^{1.5} [/math][math][/math][math]+ x^2 [/math][math][/math][math]+ 1 = 0[/math]and you know that JEE won’t be asking such problems.Talking about physics GMP, I would advise to go with its MCQ and single correct section to practice some decent enough questions.Chemistry GMP is not at all recommended because at the time I was solving it, there were a lot of mistakes in answers. I am not very sure whether they have corrected it or not but if there has been no improvement, its just a waste of time.I would rather advise you to go on with review packages, RTPF at the time of revision. Solving them would rather be fruitful because they have been designed in a better way compared to GMP’s.Hope this helps you out now.All the best :)Note - I have no idea about the roots of that equation, so please don’t ask me. :PIt was just a random and beautiful thought that came instantly to my mind.Full form of GMP is Grand master package. I am sure that even grandmasters will have time of their life solving it.Edit - Arsh Khan .. Well done. I wrote it quite randomly. :)Just check the comments people. :)

Should I solve GMP in the last few days before IITJEE 2018 if I have completed the previous year’s question papers?

Thanks for A2AWell my answer will be a clear NO to your question . If you haven’t picked up GMP till now , I would suggest you not to open it now . I picked up GMP just after jee mains and trust me it was one of the worst problem set that i had seen in my 2 years of JEE preparation journey. I literally solved 7–8 math subjective problems in 3–4 hours. The problems were too complex and required olympiad level mathematics to be solved ( Like Modular Exponentiation and i remember one question was based on Fermat’s little theorem which is clearly out of JEE Syllabus).Same goes with chemistry too . I Did organic from GMP and trust me the reactions given were out of nowhere and even in their mechanisms , anything was happening which i even hadn’t heard of in my 2 years of studies. so that was the first and last day i picked up GMP .I Don’t know keeping what in mind have the FIITJEE People designed GMP . It is totally irrelevant for JEE in my opinion .Now coming to your question , if you have solved JEE Previous year questions, I Would suggest you to keep revising theory and your class notes , keep doing Mock test papers in 6 hour slots i.e. 9–12 and 2–5 so that your brain gets accustomed to this timing and your biological clock gets set.If you still have free time left , then try to solve all the previous papers that you have given in past 2 years and try to see the mistakes you had done at that time.At this point keep revising inorganic chemistry. Keep reading NCERT and your class notes again and again , rewrite the reactions/properties in a notebook , memorize the names of ores again and again , rewrite them , revise error analysis and significant figures and other topics which are generally ignored by aspirants like biomolecules , polymers etc.Just one week more guys . give it your best shot .You will come out with flying colors! All the Best!

What did Akshat Chugh do in between JEE Mains and Advanced? Did he solve FIITJEE GMP? Also did he solve FIITJEE RSM?

We had 6 hours classes everyday where we gave tests subjectwise. After that we got assignments to do at home. So I focused on doing those and after doing that I did GMP if I had time left. I didn't manage to finish GMP by 10th May because of this and I decided that there's no point in doing it now. So, I didn't finish it (I finished chemistry and left only a few matrices of maths but physics I had most integer type and matrices left). For RSM, I feel it is not necessary as there are many more books available and its level is either too high or too low and not very ideal. I would, however, recommend the review packages sent later as they are quite close to JEE level.
