Form 66a: Fill & Download for Free

Although the government has not introduced a bill in Parliament to amend/ repeal Section 66 (A) of the IT Act, I have submitted a private member’s bill in Parliament to amend Section 66A of the IT Act to make it a potent anti-spam provision. Although private members’ bills seldom get passed in our Parliament, if there is enough support on the issue, the government may co-opt the bill and hopefully it will get passed in the 16th Lok Sabha. This indeed is one of the most awaited landmark judgements. If you want to say that , this gives democracy it's true essence and power, you will not be wrong.Section 66A of the Information technology act, has been the culprit in curbing free expression of ideas and thoughts, that is originally given as a fundamental right under Art 19 of our Indian constitution. There are many instances of people getting arrested for their opinion display through various means- cartoons, social media updates. Now, in the age, where opinions are bound to be divergent on any given issue, dis-incentivizing one's views is a negative trend. This judgement , in a way will ensure the any action of Govt, if irrational is not bound to be lost into oblivion. People will question and criticize constructively. Ultimately, it strengthens our strengths.However, this will also call for debate regarding certain hate speeches which will tamper the moral fabric of the society. The way to distinguish between freedom of speech and the restraints of polarizing people are yet to be clearly defined.I, for one, will truly celebrate this judgement. Because, there is nothing better than the chance to pitch out our voice.

There are various possible reasons for this:PM possibly doesn't believe in two way dialogue, he hasn't given a single interview or a single press conference apart from the one with Karan Thapar in which he ran out midway.PM possibly doesn’t like anyone questioning his autocracy(Style of working). Just see how Yashwant Sinha Ji, has been treated after he questioned his supremacy.Here on quora, there are some fearless crusaders who ask uncomfortable questions, BJP will have to resurrect the section 66A again and Lock-ups and jails will be full of libturds, Congturds, AAP turds etc who question and booked u/s 66A, straining the finances of the government, PM possibly doesn’t want that.PM is always in election mode, he is busy in rallies and foreign visits, he doesn't have time for stupid time consuming social media platform.The perpetual state of denial about the dubious decisions and state of economy will have to be broken, PM possibly doesn’t want that.PM can speak eloquently in monologues like man ki baat etc when only he speaks and others listen, it is yet to be seen what happens when he is cross questioned.Piyush Goyal doesn’t want to be ticked off for suggesting a communication strategy to world’s greatest marketing guru.There are such a humongous number of blind followers (Bhakts) on quora that it will have to possibly arrange a entirely new set of servers dedicated to PM’s account to handle the traffic.These are some of the points that come to my mind.Piyush Goyal ji is in good books of PM.
