First of all, most of the answers here are by self righteous ignoramuses who would rather pretend they were exciting optimists than your average run of the mill human being.If they would read the question properly they will find that he is asking why the world is so boring today?. He is not asking why the world is NOT boring today and he definately is not asking for medical advice!Only people 40 and above could possibly begin to answer this question as this is when your natural genetic high begins to wear off and most common experience that was novel, is now passé. Note , I said common, if one was energetic and brave, one could always find novel things in the world, but alas, most are not this way inclined as nature has programmed us to conserve energy, not to expend energy frantically trying to find ways to keep our minds amused.Why is the world so boring today.In my opinion, it is the economic system. Capitalism has evolved to such a point that even politics itself is subservient to it. It is a system similar to 'The Nothing' in the movie The Never Ending Story. This system has a core of insiders at the top of the pyramid that profit inhumanely as this core moves systematically to the periphery gobbling up everything in its path and forcing all who come into its orbit to become a part of its mundane laws.Its motor, is 'Fiat' or paper currency that is capable of being multiplied ad infinitum. Without this printable fiat paper money the world would not have been so totally captured by its tyrannical effects as we would all be still restrained to a gold standard and inflation would be kept in check.As we currently stand, the global economic system is a Ponzi scheme that follows an exponential curve pattern, meaning that more and more money, inflation, growth, migration, buildings ,concrete, tar, efficiency etc must occur to keep the whole thing stable. If you think migration and growth is bad now, you ain't seen nothing yet.It is this system that has broken up families and communities and forced us away from each other in pursuit of more 'specialised' ways to earn a living. Staying in our local communities is no longer an option for most. We are forced to compete in a global market place.So we no longer have strong ties to fellow humans forged in our younger years. We are forced to make new ties, which can be done of course, but gets harder and harder as we age. People are more specialised and their wants and desires are so much more vast than ever before that trying to find common ground is a scary proposition.If you are like me you may have a lonely contractors job without a lot of room for social engagement. Or you may have a very social office environment but it's full of narcissistic types all jockeying for high status positions.You may have a broad set of hobbies but finding any one with the time and inclination to join you at any specific time is becoming harder as we are all working harder due to the effects of rampant inflation.You may be sick a nauseating advertisements all seemingly dedicated to the minds of young immature humans more susceptible to that kind of brainwashing than to a sophisticated adult like yourself.Although we have wars as ever before, they are so technologically advanced that the whole thing is as removed from us as other people playing video games. The West is so all powerful that we have to constantly bullshit to ourselves via the propaganda mediums that we are in fact the victims of … lol…. "terrorists" instead of the tyrannical imperialists the capitalist system has made us.Did I mention political correctness? Censorship gone mad. The fact that the 'meek' have indeed inherited the world.The insurance companies that force safety, safety, safety, down our necks so they can minimise their payouts and maximise profits. The insurance companies that pay for animal culls so our driving experience is so devoid of the sight of wild animals lest one may hit our vehicle and cause another payout.ok I'm going to end here but I could go on and on. The world is a pretty fucking boring place, by world I mean the social world, and by that I mean the social world that is currently dominated by the Ideology and economic system of Capitalism.The Earth (nature) and the universe could never be boring, but that was not what the question asked.
