Nobody donates money to save on their taxes. Not one person, ever, in the entire history of America, has donated money to escape taxes. That isn’t how it works.It’s cheaper to pay taxes than it is to donate to charity. You don’t save any money by giving it away.When you write off a donation, a “100% deduction” doesn’t mean you save the exact amount you donated on your tax bill, it means you save the taxable portion of it.Meaning if your tax rate is, say, 25%, and you donate $100 to charity, you don’t save $100 on your taxes, you save $25.But you’re still down $75. If you didn’t donate that $100 and just paid the taxes on it, you would still have $75 in your pocket.Nobody donates money to save on their taxes.Donating $100 to charity costs you $75. Paying taxes on $100 costs you $25. Nobody donates to charity “for the write off” because giving away $100 to save $25 doesn’t make sense and costs you more than you save. look at that person and think, “ If this person was to somehow get disabled, can I still feel the same way I feel right now for them?” Can you take care of their daily needs including cleaning them up after bowel movements. Trust me you can know this from the day you meet someone.I will share a personal story. I met my husband and after three months we were married. I loved him from day one. I knew he was the one. We had two handsome kids together. He loved me unconditionally so did I. He was an amazing husband and father. Awesome provider. Was my best friend. Unfortunately after 3 years of marriage my husband got sick and was bed ridden. He was in a vegetative condition and I had to unfortunately place him in a nursing home because he required 24hr care. At the time we lived in a small apartment and was not able to House all the medical equipment that my husband needed to survive. Our babies were only 3 and 4.Here was that tall handsome, energetic blue eyed 26 dirty blonde hair guy laying lifeless on a nursing home bed. Muscle tone had kicked in and he laid in bed with his hands contracted and his physique gone. I found myself falling in love with my husband even though he wasn’t the same person physically. See love is beyond physical attraction . I fell in love with his spirit and soul. Even though he couldn’t tell me he loved me with words anymore, I could feel his love for me. We got spiritually connected so much that I could feel what he was feeling. One time I was at home, at this time I had lost our apartment and was living here with his parents. One night at 2 am I woke up and had a strong urge to go to the nursing home and I felt that my husband needed me. I woke my mother in law and told her to keep an eye on the boys while I went to check on my Husband. She asked if the nursing home had called me. I told her no, I just feel like my husband needed me right now. I drove to the nursing home got there and couldn’t believe what I saw. It seemed that no one had checked on him all night. His feeding tube had came out his stomach and leaked all over his bedding. He was soiled and his room was freezing. And there laid my husband helpless. I took pictures of the situation and I cleaned my husband up. At this point I didn’t want anyone to clean him.My husband was in a nursing home for a year and I made sure I went and be with him daily and sometimes spending the night with him. My love for him grew on a daily basis. After a year I told my husband that I would be ok if he was tired and needed to go. I promised him that I would take care of myself and our babies. And what do you know, the following morning he passed away. So he had been hanging on for my sake and when He knew I was going to be ok. He left. But if he had been alive, I would have been by his side every day.So is love at first sight real? Yes!! How can you tell the difference with infatuation? Ask yourself, can I love this person no matter what?
