I’m gonna LOVE sharing this…lolPity Party 101Older Narcissists will use health issues. Even if they’ve been Terminators who NEVER got sick. Once you’re done with them and they realize nothing’s going to persuade you to go back to them, here comes the Pity Party. Had ANYONE told me the Narcissistic Ex I married would use pity ploys, I would have said NO WAY. NEVER. That Arrogant Self Centered man would never let anyone see him being weak. Pity ploys would have been akin to begging in his eyes. But now I’ve seen it all. It does, and WILL happen.Before I hit the Proverbial Wall, the Narcissist had always kept me in my place. I AM a woman Ya know. He knew I’d work on the marriage, turning myself inside out to keep the peace and do all the problem solving. When I finally did hit that wall, refusing to expend one more bit of energy to get along, the Narcissist had one of my sons drop the bomb that his dad had a girlfriend. Now that I’d stopped caring about the marriage, he thought making me jealous would keep me interested and in line.WRONG.Two long years later when the Narcissistic Ex attacked me and my youngest son, I called the Sheriff. I knew this would probably be my last chance to get out, so I took it, and I never looked back. The Narcissist moved his girlfriend into the house a few days later. I’m certain he thought I’d regret having left, and that it would finally make me jealous. Within a year, I was able to file for divorce. It wasn’t too long after the Narcissist was served with the divorce papers that the girlfriend moved out and left. This was when he began using his health issues to try and get me to go back to him.“I’m all alone. Please PLEASE come home.” “I’m so sorry. Don’t throw us away.” “I’m sick without you. I need you.”SMDH… I’d rather chew glass, drink poison, and set myself on fire, ALL AT THE SAME TIME, than go back to that man.The Narcissist sent me an email. He’d had a knot the size of a small egg on the back of his neck called a Lipoma, and said he’d been rushed by EMS to the hospital and given a terminal diagnosis with only months to live. “I was hoping to die in your arms.” He attached a copy of the bill from the E/R to prove it. I had already received that same bill at my son’s house. I called hospital billing, gave them the code, and they said it was for a kidney stone, and ONLY a kidney stone.BUSTED!One afternoon I got an email from the Narcissist. He was outside in my driveway sitting in his truck. He said he was passing a kidney stone and would I PLEASE PLEASE bring him some water? He should have stopped at the two hospitals or the many Emergency Clinics he’d already passed. I hadn’t seen him since I left, nor would I go anywhere near him. Did I call 911, or call for EMS? Nope. He obviously had a phone and could get help if he wanted. He tried this tactic twice. Both times I ignored him.Too bad, so sad.The next issue was letting a cut on the back of his heel get infected. He let that go until his entire leg began to swell and turn bright pink. He emailed photos and said he was afraid he had blood poisoning. “Don’t worry, you’ll be rid of me soon enough. You never loved me.” He sent a short video of his legs side by side showing how swollen and red his left leg had become. He had our son send me a text to tell me, “Dad says his leg is falling off.”Again… Too bad, so sad.The next medical issue was an email saying that the Narcissist had three major symptoms of Stage 4 Prostate Cancer. The man had stopped working four months before I left and we’d lost our health insurance. He wouldn’t have spent the money to actually have all these health issues diagnosed. The man never went to a doctor the entire time we were married unless he got hurt on the job.Give it to me one more time… Too bad, so sad.In January 2020, the Narcissist finally went into the hospital for intravenous antibiotics to keep from contracting blood poisoning from his infected leg. He also had the Lipoma removed from the back of his neck. He’d sent a short video of the now huge Lipoma on the back of his neck and begged me to come home and help him. When he finally had the Lipoma removed, it was the size of a softball. He had a nurse take a photo of the Lipoma after it was removed and put into a surgical bowl, and then he sent the photo in an email to me. SMDH… He spent five days ALONE in the hospital with no one to help him.Sing it to me… Too bad, so sad.The Narcissist’s health issues began three years ago, and he claimed to be dying all that time. A Narcissist is willing to harm himself to get what he wants. I’ve seen it first hand. He’s a sad sad man. An Automaton.Our divorce took over three and a half years and will be Final on October 26th 2020 when the Judge signs over my half of everything that the Narcissist stole from me. I was forced to cash out across the board. The Narcissist refused to give me any of my belongings. The Judge has already ruled from the bench.The Narcissistic Ex refused to get an attorney. I had to go to Legal Aid. My signatures were forged by the Narcissist and he raided our retirement account. The Judge gave me back my half of our 401K account that was parked in the Narcissist’s frozen share account, leaving the Narcissist with $0. He’d already spent his half.I thought the Narcissist was gonna burst into flames.The Judge also threatened to have the Prosecutor file charges against the Narcissist for Fraud because he forged my signature on the Pension document. I won two judgements for the value of the Household Inventory the Narcissist wouldn’t return to me, and another judgment for the Arrears he owes in Temporary Spousal Support. I plan to use the judgements to Levy his bank account, and to file a Lien on his house. He’ll now be receiving HALF of the Pension payment that he’s been drawing since raiding our retirement. I had to learn to live minimally, and now it’s his turn. We’re trading places financially.We had a Zoom Hearing and I didn’t have to see the Narcissist in person. He did follow me home after the hearing trying to intimidate me. He lost big time and he knows it. I gave him chance after chance to work out a Settlement. He only wanted to play games, or use the communication to try and coerce me to come home.Best of all, I’m free of him. In just a few weeks when the Divorce Decree, the QDRO to divide the Pension, my half of the 401K, and the two Money Judgements are signed, I’m FINALLY gonna be divorced. I’ve been living in Limbo for four years. I can’t believe I actually got away from the Narcissistic Ex.C’est La Vie! Life is Good.HUGS
