Uh, are you awake here? If you have a 10 year old that can code apps, you have a paycheck there…you need to nourish that skill, not take time away from it. Not all kids are the same, and coding is difficult for most. You may have a gifted kid and don't even know it. See how far he wants to go, and if he's committed to it or not. I had a 9 year old little wizard in my college programming class…and Joshua could keep up with all of us. Enroll him in some college classes and see how he does. If he's mature enough it could be a really good experience for him. Joshua was good in math and programming stuff, but in English and other academic stuff, he was a regular kid, so stayed in his regular classes.Any college credits earned he will keep and will work toward a degree later on.Also, …he ‘may’ be generating income already…if he’s doing it just for fun, then it’s time to set him up with a minor checking account and paypal, and with monitoring, teach him about money…because he’s clearly capable of making some already.Not all kids are “regular” kids, fyi. The worst thing you can do is try to change his nature and take away his God given gifts, whatever they may be. A lot of kids spend a lot of time just playing games…that was my son. If your son can write code, that’s a whole ‘nother ballgame. :-)

As a believer in God I am not threatened by atheists. There is a joke about USSR that is applicable.In a class of a Soviet school teacher says to the children:- There is not god! When I was in middle school, many, if not most girls, wore lipstick and eyeshadow. A parent, like mine, who felt this was inappropriate, was at a disadvantage; it was easy enough to stash a lipstick and a mirror in a school locker, and I don’t think that it’s any more difficult now.By the time a kid goes to middle school, most girls (and some boys) will want to experiment with makeup. It’s best to not make them hide this, so you can provide guidance, both on application and appropriateness. A bright red, matte lip at 12? Not so age appropriate. At 17? Sure.The thing is that all kids are in a hurry to grow up, and all kids want to look older, more now, in the YouTube age, than before. The more they experiment as teens, the greater skill they’ll have as young adults. Maybe take your tween or teen to Sephora, and help them pick out a few things that you buy for them. And rather than simply forbidding that matte red lip, or cat’s eye liner, talk to your kid about when that might be appropriate and you’ll be OK with it.Your tween is careening into adulthood, and use of cosmetics is part of that process. Elementary school is too young, except when playing dress-up. Middle school is not.
