The Supreme Court hearing on Thursday regarding the Vodafone Idea adjusted gross revenue (AGR) case has led to a lot of volatility in the Vodafone Idea stock price. The court adjourned the hearing till June 18. After the hearing, the share price of the telecom major fell 11%, hitting the lower circuit. However, later in the day, the stock closed 13% lower at Rs 9.39 on the Bombay Stock Exchange.Ahead of the hearing, at 12.25 pm on Thursday, Vodafone Idea was trading at Rs. 9.74 on the Bombay Stock Exchange. The price was 10% lower from its previous close. At the same time, the benchmark Sensex was down 0.85% at 33956.67. After the hearing, the stock hit further.According to the Department of Telecommunications estimate, the company owns over Rs. 58,254 crores. Out of this amount, the company has paid Rs. 6,354 crores. As per the DoT, the company still owes a whopping Rs. 53,000 crore which includes interests and penalties for non-payment of the statutory dues. However, the company claims the dues to be Rs. 21,500 crore. The Supreme Court had earlier criticised the self-assessment of AGR dues by the company, therefore it is likely that the final verdict will be in favour of the DoT’s figure.The court asked the company to file the affidavits in 5 days as to how they are proposing to clear the above dues. Vodafone Idea pleaded before the court that the amount is huge and currently they are not in the position to file the affidavits in the time mentioned. The company further mentioned that they do not have enough funds to even pay the salaries of their employees or meet other expenses and therefore need more time.Now the further course of action will depend on whether the apex court permits Vodafone Idea staggered payments i.e. payment in instalments over the next 20 years or more. According to the Supreme Court, the staggered payments over 20 years cannot be done without any security. To this, the company expressed its inability to provide the bank guarantee for the same.Because of the above case, the Vodafone Idea stock plunged 13% on Thursday after AGR hearing.

As per an affidavit filed at the Indian Election Commission in 2004, Mr. Pawar had financial assets of more than 3 crore Rupees at that time.On April 7, 2013, Ajit Pawar in an attempt at being comical about his inability to bring waters to the dams, made a controversial statement with regards to an activist fasting for 55 days in Maharastra against the current drought crisis. He quipped at a function at Indapur near Pune "If there is no water in the dam ... Should we urinate into it?," kicked off controversy in a state reeling under severe drought. Later, due to the political and media pressure, he apologized for the same and admitted his off the cuff comment was the biggest mistake of his life.At the Indapur function, the minister had also attributed to the state’s population growth to the frequent power cuts.“Because there has been increased power cuts during nights, the birth rate has gone up. What else can people do if there is no power,”

This in my opinion is a great legal problem which you shall face life long as birth certificates are required through out in all fields of life.There is a procedure in getting the birth date rectified in your 10th certificate by requesting for the same on pruduction of the original .As regards the passport in my opinion you shall have to obtain a direction from the court directing the passport Authorities to rectify the date of birth in your passport.If Education board shows its inability then the best is to file a case against the Board and The passport Authorities and obtain above order of rectification for both of them. This can be done in one suit. Not lengthy process as both of them have no vested interests to contest your suit and the court should issue the direction as the truth lies on your birth certificate.In my opinion it is better to spend some time in this process rather than suffering awkward positions through out your life .Birth certificates are mandatory requirement for settling abroad or you may not be granted permission to do so if the said countries law does not provide any other procedure in place of your Birth Certificate of which I am not aware.In some cases where the date of birth is very old ie. Before the enactment of compulsory registration of Births and Deaths Act , a duly sworn affidavit of two persons about 10 years older than you, who were present at the time of your birth and can swear that they were present at the time when you were born. Being of 10 years or so elder to you they were then of an age that they could remember the exact date of your birth. The said sworn statement of such persons are mostly acceptable.I am not aware of your age as such a moderate answer is given.Recently a client approached me and disclosed that his relative in U.S. Who was born in 1931 was being asked to furnish his birth certificate in order to enable him to get medical treatment there.Now imagine his plight and think.I advise that the legal process of rectification should be followed.
