The LEO gets at least one copy of the form, which he presents to TSA at security, along with his credentials. At the gate, he checks in with the gate agent, who probably already has an airline copy of the authorization form. (United actually held a flight for me in Chicago one afternoon. My flight from Seattle came into a gate O’Hare that was literally as far from the gate to my connecting flight to DCA as it was possible to get and still be in the same terminal. A habit with United.) Sometimes, the LEO carries all the copies to the gate, sometimes the airline transmits them themselves.The gate agent gives one copy to the captain, who informs the flight crew. I was flying out of San Jose one day when a woman walked up to where I was sitting and asked, “Does the number 1811 mean anything to you?” Turns out, she was an FBI agent and the gate agent had pointed me out to her. (1811 is the Federal job series for special agents/criminal investigators.)The bottom line is that armed passengers on a commercial aircraft, in the unlikely event of a hijacking, need to know, at least, what each other look like. At best, they get a chance to discuss who will do what to whom if that becomes necessary. If you fly armed, you’re also required to have a set of handcuffs on you. I carried my sidearm, reload, cuffs and a collapsible baton.It’s also not unheard of for the airline to draft you as a sort of security guard. I was flying back to Seattle from Reno once and the flight attendant pulled me aside and told me that my seatmate was a woman who had had some sort of intoxication induced episode the night before. She had bailed out, but the city cops had, literally, put her on the plane and the airline had seated her next to me “just in case.” Fortunately, she behaved herself. And then he undermines Thorne's authority, forming his own gang in order to protect a fat lordling who can't even defend himself against a child.Oh, and this mopey, bratty kid who has no respect? The son of one of the leaders (one of the traitors, as he sees it) of the Rebellion that absolutely ruined his life.And this is not his only bad experience. The boy also attacks him with a knife when his father goes the same way as all traitors.If that's not enough, he waltzes in after having killed his commanding officer with the help of his supernatural super-wolf, joined the enemy, had a grand old time underneath the sheets with a wildling slut and then gets elected to the top position. And his first act? He beheads his new best friend and fellow Kingslander, Lord Jonos Slynt.Really, screw that kid.That's Alliser's problem with Jon Snow.
