Its written exam was held on 22nd July, 2012 (Electrical). Written exam result was delayed because some students' exam was taken again because of some problem at their exam centres. Finally it was declared by November.My interview date was 13th December. I got lucky with this because I had final exams of MTech 1st sem from 3rd to 11th December. I had left HAL( Hindustan Aeronautics Limited) interview because of that. (Although main reason was the 5 lakh bond they were asking). I started preparing as soon as my written result was declared because I knew I won't get time later. Meanwhile in MTech, I had developed interest in subject Non-linear Control because the teacher there was really good. As this was also my 8th sem subject(I didn't study it seriously at that time), so I started preparing it because I wanted to put this subject in interview as my favourite subject. Meanwhile I was also studying Power Systems and also basic electrical science.Interview panel consisted of around 7-8 persons. Almost all of them asked questions. Maybe 1 or 2 were just watching my activities.Q. The first question asked was tell something about yourself. He asked my college and year of passing.Answered.Q. Then he saw my biodata form. He asked me, "Were you not placed during campus?"I said I had 2 job offers.Q. He then said that I have not mentioned any in my work experience. Why is that?I told him that I didn't join them because my aim was joining PSUs. They were pretty impressed by that as they thought that I was likely to join them if offered the job.Q. He asked my favourite subject.I told him Non-linear control. I guess he was stumped by my answer because people usually say Machines, Power Systems or at most Linear Control. I think he was not familiar with Non-Linear Control, so he asked me if it will be alright if he asked something about Power Systems.Q. He asked me a question on synchronisation method of machines.I didn't remember it much so told him honestly after telling partial answer that I don't remember.Q. Another person asked me about vision of the company.I told him that.Q. Another person asked 1 question finally from Non-Linear Systems.I answered that.Q. Another one asked question of power systems on difference between lightening arrester and surge arrester.Answered thatQ. Another one asked me question about the present condition of Indian Cricket Team(There was news of rift between Dhoni, Sehwag and Gambhir at that time).Answered something on the view that they should keep their ego aside while playing for country and importance of team.That was it. Interview lasted for around 15 minutes.
