You see these bad boys here?Those are Kirkland Signature (Costco brand) on the left. $25.99. And those are Maui Jim on the right. $299.And they are virtually identical.Both are polarized with great viewing.The Kirklands are made in Italy. It’s hard to see but the Maui’s are made in Japan.Again, $25.99 vs. $299. So, is a Costco membership worth it? HELL YES IT’S WORTH IT!!!I think these Kirkland’s are actually Maui’s, just branded under the Kirkland name. The only thing that’s throwing me off is the “made in Italy” vs. the “made in Japan.” But isn’t “made in Italy” more desirable than “made in Japan” when it comes to fashion accessories? I mean this is greater perceived value, right? Yet you’d be saving $273 buying the Kirkland’s over the Maui Jim’s. Heck, you could buy the Costco membership along with the glasses and you’d still be saving $219.And this is just one example.The Kirkland Signature golf balls flew off the shelves last year and sold out making the headlines. Golfers raved about their performance on the greens. But the balls were a third of the price of the “premium” balls. One of my golf pro buddies told me that the Kirkland balls were/are actually Bridgestone balls.And don’t get me started about their 1970’s food court prices. That’s another story.I’m pretty cheap but I do like quality. I recognize value when I see it. And that’s why I love Costco.Get a membership.

The following is my experience.I have taken holiday membership in 2011. So far I could avail it only once. The reasons are many like my membership season, time availability of self, my children etc.Even after paying the membership fee of about 3 lac rupees, we have to pay almost 15 to 20k per annum as ASF.As most of the resorts are away from cities, the food is expensive.There is no appreciation of the value of membership fee. If we want to sell it, we have to sell it at 30% of the cost at which we have purchased.If we consider the interest on membership fee + the ASF (roughly 40k per annum), we can have a holiday every year at a decent resort.We can get further discounts at select resorts if we carry some premium credit cards like Amex, Diners club etc.Even if we want to spend our holiday at Club Mahindra, non-members are given priority than members. One couple from Mumbai had fought a case against Club Mahindra for this reason and have won the case.Because of the above reasons, I do not recommend any club membership anybody.

Allah and God (maybe they are one and the same) just judges souls based on their membership and those that have maintained their subscriptions are invited to enter the garden of celestial delights and eternal felicitation.And those that refused membership, failed to pay their subscriptions or let their membership lapse he will condemn to eternal damnation and sadistic torture for their thought crimes.Brahman on the other hand, knowing full well that all sentient beings are his own emanations will give them countless opportunities to be purged of their ignorance and transgression, so that they will return to him in ecstasy and love.Brahman doesn’t differentiate between BS (Belief Systems) and group membership means nothing.
