PDF Editor FAQ

Why is the U.S. government trying to open up more wildlife refuges to hunting and fishing?

Because the activities of hunting and fishing are on the decline and the money that supports conservation/recreation efforts that comes from those activities is also on the decline.New and younger hunters can’t afford leasing private land. Thus, the best way to “earn” this money back is to provide them public land to hunt and fish on. In the instances of “deer hunting on wildlife refuge” stories you are probably seeing, these hunts are helping to control wasting disease in the cervid population.

What has been your best financial decision?

Saving money from the start was a pretty good decision, but the one that has made the greatest return was buying land. The first tract I bought was 75 acres in the Ozarks that had a beautiful spring. I planted some grapes and sold the land for a little more than 4 times what I paid for it. Then I bought 240 acres and sold off all but 40 acres for what I paid for all of it. Next I bought 75 acres and sold it for just slightly more than I paid but I would have made at least 10 fold if I had just kept the land for about 10 years. I bought 375 acres in Texas that I made enough off oil leases to more than pay for the land and another 120 acres which also has more than paid for itself. Both parcels have gone up roughly 4 times in value, while bringing in a small amount of revenue each year. The thing about buying land is greater than just the money. Having land satisfied a need that I didn’t know was there until I got land. Having your own land to hunt and fish on is a wonderful bonus. I am probably too old now to buy any more land and the last parcel I bought was 20 years ago, which was a cabin on a trout stream. I love to go there and fish, but as all our friends are also getting too old to wade the stream and fish without accidents my wife and I are giving it to our children this year. It pleases me to know they will enjoy the clear, cold stream long after I am gone.

I signed up for the free trial and ended up not needing to utilize their services. I had thought I had cancelled it, but for some reason it never went through, so I ended up getting charged for the full year. I contacted their live chat and a representative named Anna was very helpful and got the refund processed right away. Thank you for being gracious and so helpful! I very much appreciate this company's customer service. I will definitely use them in the future! :)
