You just walk in through the home furnishings and home improvement sections, pick out a nice AK-47 (Chinese made like everything else in Walmart of course), pay for it up front using one of the self-checkout lanes, and voila! You’re armed!Not so fast. That’s a complete fantasy.For one thing Walmart doesn’t stock the semi-automatic AK-47, AR-15 or scary looking guns like that - and hasn’t since 2015. Only a few do, and mostly in rural areas.Only trained clerks can sell a rifle during the hours that the ATF is open to conduct background check. If that clerk is out that day, or the ATF is closed, then no gun.As the journalist found your paperwork has to be in order. If your name or address doesn’t match, you won’t pass the background check and you won’t get the gun.She writes, “Overall, the experience left me with the impression that buying a gun at Walmart is more complicated than I expected, and that Walmart takes gun sales and security pretty seriously.”I’ve been shooting for 15 years and I don’t even buy ammo at Walmart let alone guns. Why? Because their stock is terrible and tends to be overpriced. It’s one of the few items you can find better and cheaper at mom-and-pop stores that Walmart hasn’t driven out of business.

The F-35 has been clubbing F-15s, F-16s, F-18s, like baby seals in recent exercises. And In Red Flag 17–1 when the F-35 was declared out of weapons, the F-35 stayed in the battle passing it’s excellent sensor information to F-22s and Eurofighters. Its sensor system is a generation ahead of the F-22s. It was like a mini forward deployed stealthy AWACs and it made the F-22 and Eurofighter better. The flaws are mostly gone, and the price is below the Rafale, the Eurofighter, and the F-15 Silent Eagle.And if by flaws you mean it’s development, here’s an excellent post on Reddit from Dragon029, who really knows this stuff.
