Let me explain one of the most absurd/funniest thing that happened in a state called Tamil Nadu in India.Year 2015, Chennai - Our TN govt has spent crores and crores of money to install metro trains in Chennai.It took more than 5 years to install because of which the city suffered a lot due to traffic as the metro railways construction was an obstacle for 2 and 4 wheelers to drive in.So, at the mid of 2015, metro train project was completed in Chennai. At the same time, our chief minister late J.Jayalalitha was arrested and she was spending her time in Karnataka.Metro train project was completed but none opened it to public. People in Chennai got furious and started questioning the ruling party and it was a hot topic. Nobody could conclude why the ruling part is not opening the metro train for public. It will save more than 30 mins of time for almost every one. Also crores and crores of money has been spent just to keep it closed..??All these questions were frequently hitting everyone and even the opposing party started questioning this.At this point,A TV channel named Tanthi TV hosted a interview with a prominent member from ADMK (The ruling party). Host was Rangaraj Pandey. A very knowledgeable host.His name is Nanjil Sampath. So the host was equally furious and Nanjil Sampath being a prominent member in the party, host asked this question in the interview.Nanjil Sampath aka NASA.. :PRangaraj PandeyInterviewer (IR): Is metro project completed:Nanjil Sampath (NASA) : Yes, absolutely it has been completed long back.IR: Is it ready to open for the public?NASA: Yes, it has been tested and even we hired workers for the same.. !!Interviewer was very clever in questioning to bring answers from the other side.IR: Why was it not opened then..? Public are suffering and why is it still remain closed..?NASA: Naanga Kaathirukom (We are waiting)IR: En Kaathirukeenga (Why are you waiting)NASA: We are waiting for Jayalalitha to return from jail.. !!IR: Puzzled..!! So, you are telling me that the project is completed, ready to go, but still it remains closed because Jayalalitha is in Jail..?? (It was a sarcastic question for which the interviewer was expecting a NO)NASA: Ofcourse yes. Naanga kaathirukom.. (We are waiting)IR: Facepalm!!!. People are suffering, and how can you answer it without any responsibility..?NASA: People are suffering because Jayalalitha is in Jail. Not because of Metro being closed.IR: JJ is in jail. Fine. But that should not stop a party to open a completed project. It’s against law. What if people who don’t support ADMK suffer because of this move.?NASA: Let them suffer. We will wait… !!IR: Got furious and asked, how can you say that. It is peoples tax money. Your party has used that money and now keep it closed because your leader is in jail..?NASA: Without thinking for a second. - Yes, we are waiting.IR: Why don’t you just open the metro trains..?NASA: If we open it now, how will Jayalalitha get the credit for it..?. We don’t want some one else to get the credit for this. So, we are waiting.IR: So, all these project, innovations, hard work of 1000’s of people are not for people. It is done or installed to get more credits for Jayalalitha which will help you people to add this in your party’s achievements list..? Aren’t you converting the public money into a vote bank.NASA: Yes. We will tantrum this when the election comes and get more votes because of this. We will wait until JJ comes back from Jail..IR: Ultimate Face-palm..Interview was 1 hr long and more than 45 minutes this was discussed and NASA was made a clown.This interview was the funniest interview in Tamil channels of all the time. NASA was removed from the party for being so stupid and arrogant.After few days, Metro was opened.Facebook activists decided not to stop this. Memes flooded with the title Kaathirukom (I’m waiting) for the next 3 months. This incident created hell a lot of meme creators in Chennai and most of the funny pages started growing. They were so funny and it also made us to think. Facebook memes changed his name from Nanjil Sampath to NASA :P. They also made sure that he cannot join in any other party and made him a clown.I don’t remember seeing NASA in JJ’s funeral as well..

I love Russian comedy, it is so Monte Python — “A Russian expert? How is this possible? When did Russia get an expert? OMG, Russia has an expert — “THE” Russian expert, no less”.Does THE Russian expert know that the F-35 defeats F-16s in close combat?Does THE Russian expert know that F-16s have MiG-21’s for lunch?Does THE Russian expert know that the F-35’s pilot can see omnidirectionally & shoot omnidirectionally with either IR, or radar-guided missiles?Does THE Russian expert know that the “one motor, firing at just subsonic speed” can somehow magically push the F-35 through M 1 with its 40,000 lb of available DRY thrust & cruise at M1.2 without using its afterburner?Does THE Russian expert know that the F-35’s engine has achieved in excess of 50,000 lb of thrust on the test bench & is installed in the F-35 flat-rated at 43,000 lbs of thrust in full AB?Does THE Russian expert know that high supersonic speed is irrelevant to air combat & the 0.2M difference in the speed of the MiG 21 & F-35A/B is not significant, especially since the MiG-21 can’t reach its M1.8 max speed when it is armed?Does THE Russian expert know that the F-35 easily outaccelerates the MiG 21?Does THE Russian expert know that the design requirement for the F-35 was to have a 4:1 kill ratio against 4th gen fighters — like the 3–4th gen MiG-21?Does THE Russian expert know that the F-35A & F-35B have demonstrated a 20:1 kill ratio vs 4th gen fighters in a series of air-combat exercises dating back to mid-2015?Are you understanding any of this? In case you are not, don’t bet a nickel on the MiG-21.

If you would like to construct a compiler then you have to do the following.1) Select a programming language which you want to build a compiler for. There are many toy languages out there likea) Tiger programming language used by Andrew Appel at Princeton.b) COOL programming language used by Alex Aiken at Stanford.c) Subset of Pascal in the dragon book, Compiler : Principles, Tools and Techniques2) Once you have chosen the language the next step is to decide whether you want to build the parser and scanner yourself or use some existing tools.a) Build your own recursive descent parser and scanner. Some help and sample code you can find in the dragon book.b) Use Yacc/Bison for parsing and Lex for scanning. While these use bottom up parsing, you dont really need to understand the details.c) Use ANTLR, which is an LL(*) parser.3) Use the parser to generate an AST(abstract syntax tree).4) Now generate code from the AST. This can be done via syntax directed translation or by traversing the AST.5)The code you generate can bea) Stack machine code. In this case you just need to write a simulator for processing stack machines. (Or if you are ambitious you can target the java VM which is a stack machine)b) Generate MIPS code. In this case you can use a simulator like SPIM/MARS.c) Generate LLVM IR code.
