It is distracting and can disturb the opponent. Usually, verbal expressions are only resignations and proposals for draws, or issues directed to the match officials.The reason we call “check” in casual chess is probably to alert the opponent that they have to respond to check. If they didn’t notice and made an illegal move, we’d have to revert back and let them respond to the check. This would waste precious time, so we call “check” to prevent this unnecessary loss of time.

Yep. This morning.I went to a salon for a head massage which cost 450 Rs.There was a poster that said if I check-in at the salon on Facebook, I’ll get a 50 Rs off.This was for their publicity/marketing budget probably.But, I did not want my friends to know that I checked-in a salon. My god, I am not a teenager who wants to post every minuscule detail on Facebook.So, I checked-in the salon on Facebook because discount is more important than self esteem.Where is the scam?I changed the privacy settings of the check-in to “Only Me”Thanks for the awesome head massage.Sorry for the hack, salon!P.S : Did not want to delete the post so that even if they verified from their page, I am clean. I leave no stone unturned in a scam. I’d be a great politican.

Indira Gandhi International Airport, DelhiIf you find a really long queue and you think you won't make it to the counters 45 minutes before departure. Immediately proceed to the H row counters without wasting a minute. ( Only for Terminal 1 )Don’t be under the impression that if you are in the queue, you are surely going to make it on this flight. Talk to the loaders there, they are going to expedite your process if you have less than an hour left for the flight. Check-in counters close 45 minutes before departure.Delhi Airport is a silent airport. Don’t expect any announcements. Though airlines still make them in many cases.There is a difference between boarding time and departure time. Boarding gates close 25 minutes before departure. Don’t expect to reach 10 minutes before departure and say “Abhi to flight khadi hogi jaane do bhaag ke pakad lunga”.Base flights ( early morning flights) don’t accept passengers even D-24 ( 24 minutes before departure) .25 means 25. So, if you have an early morning flight, make sure you are at the boarding gate 35 minutes before departure. Don’t get lost in buying yourself a coffee and getting a selfie.If you have a corporate booking, you can get the extra leg space rows ( 1st,12th,13th) without paying. Just inform at the counter. Corporate bookings can take 10 kilograms in hand luggage instead of 7 kilograms.Please don’t keep power banks in check-in luggage. Keep it in hand luggage. If you keep it in check-in luggage, you will be called and made to offload it. You are not getting the powerbank back.Lighters, Copras ( dried cocunut kernels), matchboxes are a no no in the check-in as well as hand. Domestic and international airlines have different regulations.If you only have hand luggage and no check-in luggage. Take the boarding pass from the kiosk ( enter PNR to get one) and make a move to the Security Check. Don’t get into bag drop queue and waste your time. ( Make sure you don’t have any sharp objects in hand luggage, or else you have to check in)People who have booked under defense, senior citizen, credit card/debit card, student fare cannot self check in. Don’t waste your time at the kiosks. Your check-in is done at counters because of id verification.Students, Defense personnel, Senior Citizen get discounted fares. Make sure to avail while booking through website. Students get the privilege to carry 25 kilograms in check-in if booked under student fare.While making a booking, make sure you give your personal number because in case where boarding gates are closing, they give you a call before closing it and giving other number can make you miss the flight.Though 12th row is an extra leg room one, it is non-reclining. So, don’t pay for it and make a fool out of yourself.11th,12th and 30th rows are non-reclining rows. So, if you want to sleep, avoid these.Infants, Senior Citizens, Pregnant women are not given seats on emergency exit rows. Don’t pay for it thinking extra legroom in these cases. Your seats are changed for sure.ID cards are required for children also.If you done a web check-in, you need to have a print of boarding pass to proceed to security check. That you can have from Self Check In Kiosks.If you want to prepone your flight, charges are 1000/- ( depends on seat availability) which can be done at the airport.7 kilograms are allowed in hand luggage but that is not weighed anywhere in most cases. So, if don’t have a very big and odd sized carry on, you can accommodate even 10–11 kilograms. Main thing in carry-on is size.mIt is not a total of 22 kilograms of check-in. It is 15 kg in check-in and 7 kilograms in carry luggage. Don’t fight like a bull at the counters. Be smart.
