Truly unbiased sources either provide just raw data that would require a lot of processing to become information or would be too superficial for you to make opinions.In general, news papers do a mix of reporting and commentary. Reporting is “as is” - such as a news article talking about 20 people dead on a highway or the GDP growth of China is 8% this year. You can get such reports also from statistical agencies and a variety of government bodies.Then there is commentary where the writer uses his/her bias to interpret the reports. In a sports channel, the reporting would merely be how many goals were scored in the football match and who scored them. The commentary adds in the background how significant the goals are, how tough the plays were etc.Then there are analysis pieces that goes deeper into an issue by building upon multiple news items. For instance, why that football team has been weak this year or why crimes of a certain type are recurrent. These will add the bias of the editorial team. It is hard to both do the analysis and still be “unbiased” on whether global warming is happening or whether vaccination is needed. Your analysis will eventually take you to one side of the issue.Finally, there are opinion pieces where the news paper invites outside experts to offer their points of view on issues. These are typically the most biased ones, but also can offer interesting perspectives.Until a certain point, biases are not just necessary, but helpful. Unbiased reports can help back the biased commentary, but the former cannot be useful on its own.

Now that they have a source of entangled photons in space they plan on conducting additional experiments, such as quantum teleportation. That would involve the teleportation of quantum information from the ground to the satellite, which if it can be achieved will set another distance record.The paper they published in Science has undergone peer review. The details of the satellite have been long known. There is no reason to suspect the result, given that they have the deployed resource in space.Independent verification will require another space borne entangled photon source. I suspect that someone will put up a similar satellite at some point, if only to push the technology a little bit further.No one doubts the result.
