Is GREedge counseling helpful? If so, how?
NO, NOT AT ALLI started searching for Universities in Germany from June, 2017 along with 3 other friends of mine and we heard about GREedge. Initially we were skeptical since it’s an online consultancy. Then we read some reviews on Quora, which were generally positive. I enrolled for Dream Universities - Global, which costed 35000₹ then (now it costs 45000₹), which include everything from making CV, LOR, SOP, University selection, sending application, visa interview preparation, mock interview and all. (by the way I chose 1 country and 3 courses, even though Dream Universities - Global is meant for 1 course and 3 countries).Initially everything seemed to be perfect, they sent a questionnaire and allotted Universities. Then the problem started. Instead of making CV, they sent me a pdf on how prepare CV. They delayed sending SOP for weeks and the application has started in many Universities. I couldn’t reach my SFA (Student Facilitator & Analyst) for weeks and couldn’t let her know my situation. Then I realized that if I rely on them, the dream of going cannot be fulfilled and I started sending E Mails, asking for refund. So finally 2 weeks before application deadline to one of the University, they send draft SOP, the quality of which was terrible than a letter written by 2nd grade child. I told my SFA the same. I realized I would be wasting my time to depend on them.Then I started making SOP, CV and LOR and started applying to Universities on my own and severed all ties with them. The next 4 months were hectic for me. In addition to preparing all necessary documents and applying to Universities, I had to take appointment for Visa Interview and preparing the documents for that on my own. By July, 2018, I was done with everything and I again contacted them asking for refund again, that they refused.So never ever ever go for Online Consultancy, especially GREedge. If you have time, try to apply on your own. The experience you gain will be useful at some point in time.
