PDF Editor FAQ
What are the photos of interior home design for 2 BHK?
It is virtually impossible to provide a detailed answer and photos as your question is very ‘general’. Because: ‘Form Follows Function’. Not the other way around.Arcgirecrure, floorplans, designs …and thus photos, depend on culture, lifestyles, different climates and the customs of those living in it. A hot climate (Georgia in the US f ex ) has Plantation style architecture designed for proving ventilation. In Scandinavia, that would not work in freezing and snowy winters. The same would apply to any sized dwelling.First establish your client (your?) Needs. How is the space going to be used? That’s Function.Style: Modern. Sleek. Monochromatic. Traditional. Historic. Eclectic. Country. That’s Form.First: Square footage and layout (of each space). Will a king sized bed fit in the bedroom? A table in the kitchen? A coat closet in the hall? Bathroom storage?Cardinal directions (for light). View(-s). Number of people occupying the space. Adults. Children. Home-office. Urban. Country. Weekend of full-time. STORAGE. A well designed space has adequate storage. Sounds boring…but it is crucial. There is nothing worse than too much stuff and drawers that spill over. In a ‘share’ situation even space in the refrigerator counts! Order creates balance, breathing-room and calm.In a small space you have to prioritize. If it extremely tight; measure/count everything. Or you may have to spend extra money on storage which may be spent on rent/mortgage for a larger space/apartment.Storage rentals can be expensive and the longer you store the more expensive it gets. Where I live (NorthEast, USA) storage for a 2BR (bedroom, which you are asking about) can be several hundred dollars/month. The storage provider knows that once your belongings are in…the less likely you are to move them out quickly. (No offense to storage businesses. Everyone needs to make a living.)Applying ‘Form Follows Function’ principles provide a solid base on which to create your design-program. Even a gorgeous space (Form), that doesn't suit your life style (Function), is likely unsatisfactory. For general photos and ideas: Web, TVprograms, design magazines and books. Lay out your design on paper (or CAD). If not possible, a measuring tape goes a long way.In my opinion, a sparse, modest space is better than one poorly thought out. No matter how attractive.
Is boat ownership worth the cost and maintenance hassle?
Some years ago a friend of mine was considering purchasing a sailing boat. He was well able to afford it as he was nearing the end of his working career and had little responsibilities (no family, mortgage nor debts to speak about) and had passive income also.We went round all the boat-yards in Cork and Dublin in Ireland and saw many boats for €50,000 - €150,000 or so. He couldn’t decide on any of them because he had not really a clear idea of what he wanted. We looked up the prices of winter storage on the hard, marina berths and made some guesses for maintenance. All in all, excluding major exceptions, he budgeted €5,000 per annum - perhaps more for the larger boats considered. In the event nothing was bought but a week boat rental (bareboat) in Dubrovnik, Croatia. We rented a 37′ Jenneau that was two years old (admittedly a little shabby for two years old and must have been rented out a few times before we got it).Getting a boat for €1,500 per week (2004 price, I admit) at the time meant that it was difficult to ever justify the purchase of a boat. Even if it were rented for four weeks per year, one is still only within the annual regular maintenance and storage costs of boat ownership. Because boats depreciate as do cars we are not even talking about comparing the money lost on depreciation. With a boat rental, the maintenance remains the owner’s problem and as boats need constant maintenance, it is hardly a form of passive income for the owner either. Perhaps we were lucky to get a Jenneau 37 for €1,500 per week (even then) but we were convinced that it would take a lot of boat usage before ownership could be justified. The other advantage with renting boats over ownership is that one can rent a boat in various locations ( a week in Greece, followed by a week in Croatia etc) by flying from boat to boat using commercial flights. It takes away all the need for organising crew (often a huge ‘cost’ in terms of time for the owner / skipper), let alone the need to sail the boat from one location to another. We need only look in any marina on a pleasant summer’s day and see that even those who have spent over £/$/€100,000 will most likely not have taken the boat out. Had they really something better to do as to explain why marinas are 85% full even in the best of weather on a public holiday?Unless your boat is very small (i.e. can be trailed behind a car and you’re happy day-tripping or similar) or you want to do long distance sailing so you have the boat equipped to a higher standard or some other exceptional reason (e.g. you want a non-production boat), the vast majority of boat owners would be better off renting.
Considering to buy some land In the middle of nowhere and just camp out for the rest of my life with zero contact with humanity, technology, etc.. How realistic is that thought? Would I survive? Would go crazy?
well, i’m actually doing something similar. depends on what kind of land you have, what kind of jurisdiction you’re dealing with, and what land rights you have. once you have that figured out, you will need to be in compliance with some building code if you plan to have any sort of permanent structures there, luckily on my land i can do mostly what I want so that’s not too much of an issue.after you’ve done that, you will need to grow your own food, collect your own water, and you cannot do those 2 things without technology. but perhaps lets say you want to not use anything electric, or anything related to computers, microwaves, radios, or any other means of electronic communication. you will have to have contact with humanity at some point because you will have to pay land tax or find someone who can, like a Japanese hikkikimori who has his mom pay for his rental room. basically you will need someone who can manage the legalities of your land while you play survival, you could trade them fresh organic food you produce as a payment perhaps. also at some point you will need her to move your trash otherwise if you have neighbors or people who pass by and notice your trash, unless you can ofcourse make everything you need out of wood sticks, grass mud and stone. you will also need to manage your waste otherwise if you do live for more than 2 years people will notice the stench of your property. a hole in the ground would suffice but you could as one person easily overwhelm the ecosystem depending on how big your land is, i would recommend storing your waste and letting it decompose naturally, collect the gas and use it for cooking and power. in other words create a biodigester, and it will fuel your long term survival.you will need to plant food and practice crop rotation, understand the intricacies of what makes plants grow and produce greatly, you will need access to plants and chemicals that can control pests and mitigate disease. some chemicals are possible to produce on your own, a collection of mint, lavender and chives should help you deter most pests, a scyth to mow around your garden will prevent larger rodents from eating your survival garden. you will also need food storage as well to get you through winter. and you will need traps and bullets. because you will not last long otherwise and even professional trappers don’t recommend trapping for survival. you can go hunting but you will need a license or kill animals in your area that are pests or don’t require tags. you can also raise chickens but you will need to grow feed and all of this requires water.you need water and if you’re going to do it yourself, the easiest ways are cisterns which can be used anywhere, and fog collection which works in select environments but if you’re in a humid area, and you’re diligent and you will have to be, you can collect dew in the morning and drink it, as well as recycle your pee via solar still. you will need access to certain building materials such as concrete at minimum, you can try using natural materials and using pinetar to create rain roofs, but your storage of water will require some form of plastic, or food grade container. you can try and pick up plastic trash you find and do this.you will also need sanitation, and a very large understanding of plants that can help you when you are sick and have no access to medical or dental care. you can make soap with ashes and fat. and ofcourse you will need to know how to make fire and do it safely and when there’s no burn ban otherwise you may get in huge trouble like i did. ultimately you will have to take any knowledge with you in the form of books and notes from the internet, and should you happen accross something you didn’t think of or expect you will be dead in the water.it’s unrealistic you could do it forever, for any lengthy amount of time without help or knowledge of how to do something like that. i’m still learning and I live and breath offgrid tech, and how to survive off land. i intend to have microscopes and medical equipment as well as dental equipment and comms. because i make my money through the internet.will you go crazy? you probably already are to most people for doing something like this. as far as losing your sanity, you will over lack of food, or possibly accidentally poisoning yourself, or a myriad of other things. you will most likely lose your ability to socialize well, and be very bad at explaining yourself.
