It is literally fun!My dad is a teacher and I am an engineer. Though there is professional difference we always talk a lot about engineering. He always suggests me, not so well known tricks to get things done. As a mechanical engineer I know how automobiles work but my dad knows much better even though he never learnt anything about automobiles formally! Not only bikes and cars he gives tricks and hacks of civil engineering too. Whether our car gets a flat tire, two of us repair or replace it or any other issue we solve it. He questions my reputation & ability as a mechanical engineer if I can't solve or detect an issue about cars. If a tap needs repair or pipelines have trouble he doesn't need a plumber to do it.He is a great cook too! Sometimes me, my dad and my brother surprise mom with her favorite dishes.Talking about my freedom, he never objects my decisions. He let me do my work like banking, travelling alone on my own to make me an independent person who I'm now. Clothing, outings, trips were never an issue for me. I didn't need permission to go with my friends. Even if I ask he makes fun of me saying I'm a grown up and don't need to take permissions.Once I was wearing salwar kurta in which I'm very uncomfortable. There was some pooja at my home and I was serving people. That dress troubled me a lot. He and my uncle were watching for a while. He then called and told me that I don't need to wear the clothes which make me uncomfortable. Even though there were relatives and people who were those chaar log in Indian society, he let me be myself!He taught me how to ride bike, swimming. We played cricket all the time in holidays. We discuss every subject from politics to today's youth and what model of car gives how much average. He even asked me if I have a boyfriend when we were discussing about my marriage. I told him I need at least 3 years from now and he was okay with it.Lucky people get cool dads, and I'm one of them. :-)
