What "prison habit" was the hardest to break for former prisoners?

Trust issues. Outside of my closest friends and immediate family, I tend to presume that most, if not everyone I meet is running some angle, even where it doesn't make sense to a rational mind.Except it's no longer the “no, you can keep your three-for-one bogies (cigarettes) offer, thanks” scales up to “holy Christ, this election is twelve kinds of rigged from the oval office down to the local school board…It's something that I have to process and meditate through, and I'm getting a little bit better at not short-circuiting myself due to falsely prejudging people's motives.A”nd getting caught up in my head in a twisted bit of a “bitter pity party of one, your table is ready” inner dialogue that the world's against me and I f*cked it up so bad that I'll never recover.Which is a grain of Truth surrounded mostly aby a pack of lies in that:yes, I f*cked up…… and no, the world could really care less one way or another aside from than some significant number of hiring managers who might scrutinize a particular box I had to check on a job application or mark my resume in their database under never higher because my felony drug possession conviction and my DWAI turned up on a criminal background check. And the fact that I'm free and working my way back up from the bottom is proof positive that I am doing something better than I was before.

How do I travel 47 hours by train without going crazy?

Its easy ! And it will be fun too. Train Journeys are always amazingI had to travel from Varanasi to Ernakulam in general compartment which even didn't have a charging point !! Train was running late and it took 55 Hours to reach Ernakulam .I went to varanasi for experiencing Dev Diwali . Having spent 4 days there i reached Banaras Railway station at 10 AM . My train was at 7 PM (Patna -Ernakulam ) . My ticket was on waiting list ( WL/13) . I was waiting for the charting to be done so that i can go for any alternatives to reach kerala . But all went bad and they prepared the chart at 5 PM and train started journey by 4 hours from Patna . I ended up with WL/4 . Since it was an E-Ticket , it got cancelled automatically. I boarded the train at 12:30 midnight . Boarding into that fully packed general compartment was a big task . I got a seat when we reached Allahabad ( after 4 hours !)I had left with these40% battery in my phone ,5000mAh powerbank in my bag .2–3 packets of biscuits.1 Book of 650 pagesFear/ excitment of being alone at a place which is 2400km away from your homeI had to send updates to my aunty and my sister once in every 4–5 hours . That was the only condition between me and my sister for letting me go alone to varanasiThis is what i did in that 55 hoursTurned off every background application and put the phone in flight mode to save battery . (Switching off and restarting will drain more battery )Took this opportunity to reduce my smartphone addiction. I am addicted to smartphones, I can't live without it. I wake up/sleep with my phone . This was a real test for me and i enjoyed itI started to read that book . Having fell in love with varanasi , I couldn't even read a single page during those 4 days at varanasiI mostly had frutis and biscuits so as to avoid the ‘'nature’s call’I talked with all the guys who were around me . They were mostly from bihar and going to kerala for constructions works . And there was 2 tamil people as well . It was fun to talk two language at a time with Biharis and Tamilians .I had to be the translater for Muthu ( tamil guy who doesnt know hindi but wants to talk with everyone)I checked my phone once in 5 hours and texted aunt/sister and checked the status of trainI counted the remaining hours and even kilometresI completed my book when i reached Salem then i used my powerbank to recharge my phoneIt was one hell of a journey. I never forget this in my life. I learned so many things in that journey. Trust me, I felt sad when I got down at Ernakulam .Now Answer to your questionSo you have a 47 hours journey in train . I am sure it must be atleast in 3AC . So no worry about the charging point , climate , unnecessary people in the coach , can sleep peacefully whenever you want .These are some of my suggestionsDownload kindle app in your mobile and load it with novelsHave atleast one book in your handTransfer any series / movies to your phone ( I prefer series which will force you to watch the next episode and kill your time very easily)Sleep as much you canTry to be in window seat and enjoy the nature . Since its a 47 hour journey you may pass through most part of our country . It will be fun to see the diversity of our country through the windowNotice each major railway station and try to find out one speciality of that station. ex : Vijayawada is famous for JuiceTry to mingle with everyone who is around you. Make friends47 hours is not that much long . If you are enjoying it , it will pass like 4 hours .Happy journey

How does it feel to travel by train in general class for long journey?

You may forget your flight journeys , First class journey in Rajdhani,But you wont forget your Train journey in General Class in your life.I had one and i still remembers each minute of it . It made me more patient , more braver, and more stronger . I can adjust to any condition now .Image Courtesy : GoogleI went to Varanasi for experiencing Dev Diwali . But all went bad and they prepared the chart at 5 PM and train started journey by 4 hours late from Patna . I ended up with WL/4 . Since it was an E-Ticket , it got cancelled automatically. I spent all the day at railway station literally without doing anything .It was the time of demonetization . I bought a general ticket and waited for my train to come . I knew that this is going to be a very long journey with very limited options , no charging point, no place to sleep, less safe,no pantry service….. and that was a weekly train fully packed with migrant workers to Kerala . This is the only train from Bihar to Kerala in a week .Train was about to reach the platform . Temperature was below 15 .I was shivering .I was not sure whether it is only because of temperature , I was scared too . I was alone in a place which is 2600 km+ away from home .I was alone here for the last 4 days but i was happy , but now the scenario is different . I knew how terrible will be general compartment of this train . At last train came . One compartment was locked from inside and they were not ready to open . Second compartment was also filled like hell . I ran to the other end of train , it was also full but i could place my two feet at the edge of entrance , Then some others also came and pushed me into the compartment . I was happy that i could at least make into the train . Now i need a seat !! how long should i wait for it ? I noticed two middle aged men . They were having an active conversation even at that time and they were not having bags . I asked them where will they get down and they repliedAllahabad . Oh yes , just 2–3 hours , i will get a seat . Train was running late and i had to stand 4 hours . I got a seat. now what ? almost 50 hours is still left .I had left with these40% battery in my phone ,5000 mAh power bank in my bag .2–3 packets of biscuits.1 Book of 650 pagesFear/ excitement of being alone at a place which is 2400 km away from your homeI had to send updates to my aunt and my sister once in every 4–5 hours .
