When might NASA finally change the name of Kepler 22-b to Namek?

NASA doesn’t name celestial objects. The IAU (International Astronomical Union) does.The basic rules for exoplanet name submissions would rule out the use of “Namek” if FUNimation Productions, Ltd. has a trademark on the name.In particular proposed names should be:16 characters or less in length;Preferably one word;Pronounceable (in some language);Non-offensive;Not too similar to an existing name of an astronomical object.In addition it is not allowed to propose:Names of pet animals;Names of a purely or principally commercial nature;Names of individuals, places or events principally known for political, military or religious activities;Names of living individuals.Same name for a host star and a planet around itThe process must be respectful of intellectual property*:*It must be demonstrated that previously existing names, when proposed, are free for public use (i.e., for instance, not subject to copyright royalties, as could be the case for names created in fiction works, like books, plays, movies, etc.);

What is the most elite special forces unit in your country?

Ever heard of Grey Fox? How about Task Force Orange? Centra Spike? Torn Victor? Cemetery Wind? Quiet Enable? Intrepid Spear? There is a reason you haven’t heard of them.The alleged unit patch (or former unit patch) of the Intelligence Support Activity including their motto, which translates to “Truth Overcomes All Bonds”.The Intelligence Support Activity (ISA) changes code names every two years. They are the guys (and if rumors are true, girls as well) who go into a hot zone before Delta or Team Six to gather real time intelligence on the ground and facilitate the success of the mission. From the Bin Laden mission to the killing of Pablo Escobar, ISA has had their hands in a whole lot of important events and we will probably never hear about 99% of them. These folks are the closest thing to a real life James Bond that I can think of. There is very little information out about the ISA for good reason, but if you want to learn more here is some open-source reading to get you started:My favorite source for information about the ISA is actually a comic book/graphic novel of all things. The authors, Mitch Gerard and Nathan Edmondson, allegedly got the inside scoop from current and former ISA members and created a series that reflects the real-life exploits of the unit. It is an amazing read and I highly recommend it.Article to start with: Comic Sheds Light on Secret Spy UnitThe Activity Digital Comics - Comics by comiXologyTHE ACTIVITY // CLASSIFIED INTERFACESample page[1] from The Activity comic.This is the only book that I know of which was written specifically about the early history of the ISA:Killer Elite | Michael Smith | MacmillanSean Naylor wrote a fantastic six-part series about clandestine operations by US SOF units in the horn of Africa. It includes some fascinating information about Task Force Orange ops in Mogadishu including climbing up telephone poles to install wiretaps in the heart of a very hostile city. Pretty ballsy stuff.The Secret War in AfricaThis is allegedly a picture of some ISA operators from back in the day but honestly who the hell knows if it is accurate or not. Doesn’t show much anyways!Footnotes[1] Nathan Edmondson Chats With TFAW About The Activity - Comic Book News, Reviews, and Previews - The Blog From Another World

What are the Native American traits?

I work within Indian Country, and have traveled all over the country meeting different tribal representatives and the majority of my personal social circle is indigenous folk, coming from all tribal backgrounds. And while there are certainly differences across the various tribes, the one hallmark or near-universal trait that I have noticed is the perception of identity or affiliation. It is more heavily focused on community-oriented placement or where one fits into the larger collective. More specifically, this manifests in an interest in family ties and lineages, and connection to the tribal population as a whole.So, you’ll notice many tribal people often identify themselves by family group, lineage, clan, regions/districts/villages, and bands (if that exists in the tribal populations). And in some formal settings, people giving real “proper” TRIBAL introductions will name parents, grandparents and great-grandparents along with the aforementioned bio data (e.g. clans, villages, districts, etc.). This allows the wider community to know who they connect to, particularly elders, who take a keen interest in this. It’s also a sort of game that natives play when they meet each other. You try to first state who you are, and if you are related. Or, at the very least, seeing if you know people in common. Like, “Oh yeah, I know your uncle so-and-so.”This is even done for those that are descendants and not formally enrolled. For example, these folks might still be included in various activities or events. For example, even unenrolled (legit) descendants can mark art as Native American/tribal according to IACA protocols. Or, they are often included in tribal programs…whether it be cultural, educational, or social welfare related.Tribal people just want to know where one fits within this larger community. What family you come from, etc.
