I have always had dogs as pets since I was a child, and it’s my experience that any dog can get aggresive if not handled well, and that good trainimg can mitigate that. BUT I do believe thst there are some dogs that have aggresive personalities, and in my opinion you have to balance your needs in such a pet with the risk to your children. I’m not sure how much influence a dog’s breed can dictate aggression, I’m not an expert. But I do know from experience that different breeds do have different personalities (in general, there are always individuals who are different). And if your not sure of the history of the dog, don’t do it. You may adopt him and he turns out to be the most wonderful pet ever, you may adopt him and one day he rips your childs face off. You can’t know what’s going to happen good handling and training will always make a difference, but dogs do have personality. So to increase your chances of a safe dog, adopt one bred for gentleness.My first experience with an american pit bull was when I bent down to pet a puppy on the head and he growled menacingly. I know enough about dogs to know that touching the top of their head can be threatening to them, particularly to a dominant dog. But I got a feeling about the dog and warned the family. The dog went to training classes with a proffessional trainer. He was a beautiful boy, very loyal and intelligent. One day, he decided a little girl on a scooter was a threat to his family and sent her to hospital with stitches. The family loved him, so they fought to keep him. The next incident was a much smaller dog that he ripped the guts out of, and killed. They have still managed to keep him, with all the warning collars, training and signs on fences the law requires. Because many people believe training will mitigate anything. And loyalty will stop the dog hurting them. I don’t. Dogs can have tendencies and personalities, you don’t spend hundreds of years breeding a trait into a dog, them turn around and say it’s not there, or it’s the humans fault if it surfaces. It takes one moment only to hurt a child. The dog may be loyal loving and very protective of the children of the house, but one day he may lash out. I don’t think it’s a matter of ‘controlling the dog’. It’s a matter of risk assesment. You can’t control a moment of madness, rage, fear or sickness. Get a dog bred for gentleness, and maybe less damaging jaws and teeth, to have around your precious children.I’ve seen the after effects of many dog attacks. The owners are always shocked. They can’t believe their pet did it. Before that, they believed they were handling the dog well. It’s in hindsight we become bad pet owners.

You may have thisjcovered but i have autism aswell and didn't know social boundaries and i was talking about sexual stuff so openly and as you can imagine i was left an outsider. Know the boundaries having a NT friend that you trust completely with anything and that understands you is very useful. Ik you cant always find those very good friends but do your best. I see no need to go see a therapist or whatever if it becomes an obsession try to distract yourself and just don't talk about it and you should be fine if the obsession gets worse try find some ways online to get rid of an autistic obsession if that doesn't help see a doctor. I had obsessions with violence and i kept on saying stuff like nothing matters we can do whatevermwe want it ended up with being risk assesed and kept in hospital i wasn't allowed to leave eventually i was diagnosed and i was given advice on how to get rid of my obsession the doctors said it had become a strong delusion.
