Can you share some of your sketches (pencil works)?

So I discovered what pen art is when I came to college. I started doodling in all the boring lectures since it was the best thing I could do to be awake. It would seem to the teacher that I am making notes but actually I am satiating my creative hunger meanwhile. Here are some of my pen works.Mandala : Using pilot techpoint. The Sagittarius :A birthday gift for my sister since she is a proud Sagittarius.Mandala Dreamcatcher:One of my drawings from the girl series:The fall : The season when all the leaves are falling around you.The Confluence :Tried depicting the flow of flower that denotes life in waterfall which denotes the flow of time.Mindburst : the caption is enough. The Inkheart : Sometimes even words aren't enough to describe your sorrow.Seahorse:The leo : birthday gift for a special someone.Yin and Yang :The Dream catcher :The soulful Tiger : One of my favorite because it took a while to complete it.The watch : It has a great story behind it. I made it for a friend whose watch had broken. So I made this for him depicting the exact time at which his watch broke. The cool Cancerian : Yet another birthday gift for my brother whose zodiac is Cancer.Another one from the girl series.Another one from the girl series :The girl series :This was the final piece for the girl series : save the girl child.Edit:Thank you for appreciating these. It means the world to me.As requested by Arathi, I am adding a few more from my girl series. The confident bob :The bloom :Freedom!

What is the best birthday present you have ever received?

I can't say best gift. It is a political statement to give stimulus to one's feeling while trivializing the others. We all are evolutionary consciousnesses...From waking consciousness to the level of transcedental and from transcendent to cosmic and from cosmic to Ultimately God consciousness….We are jounreying in body....Each birthday reminds me that I am not merely a waking homo sapiens that, in its millions of years journey, has evolved from Ameboa to Anthropos....I recall I am a healthy human being blessed with a soul that is constantly and tirelessly striving to stretch it's wings of ecstasy (recalling Tagore) in the void of universe.I always try to live beyond my jism e kasif (gross body). I even avoid jism e latif (subtle body) I always try to immerse my self in jism e altaf (mental body) ....sometimes even beyond this....After such a heavy philosophical discussion let me come to the birthday story here.I have, in my life, few very beautiful souls in the garb of adjectives called students and NSS volunteers. They attempt to fill hues of love in my already scribbled canvass of life....For them, I am not a loser in material gains, for them, I am, like an enchanter heal their wounds, caress and nourish their hopes, and erase out all toxins from their being. For them I am a their teacher.... For them I am even more than a teacher...More than all their worldly relations.......I am one who they love unconditionally, unshakably, and unhamperedly. The story starts here.August 1: Someone asks me to give me my Kerala trip pics. I send and I know why these pics are in demand.August 2: Few more family pics are demanded with a question, "Sir, will you go Home on 6th August. And if yes, at what time will you go." I pretended, "I will go today." With a surprise, I am asked again, When will you go." I again lied, "I am on the way home." Then another guy of the same gang WhatsApp me and ask, "Sir I wish to meet you." I say I am going home and I will be back on 7th Aug.August 3: Third and the most credible guy very decently asks for an appointment to meet. I too promise him to meet when I am at Shahjahanpur.August 8: Today these kids have brought this slam book, drawn by them so beautifully that I am stupefied as well overwhelmed with the love they have shared with in the garb of their words.I think it is one of the most beautiful gifts I have received today. I belive that they will continue to love me like they have been doing all these years. The words of these kids remind me Gabriel Garcia Marquez. They have magical realism of Marquez. I have a heart that throbs with a feeling of gratitude and blessing for them.Their words and ideas are more potent than mine....Their feelings and expressions need no feeble forewords from my end.The words these kids written for me are the words oozed out of their sanctum santorum of heart.....The words they have jotted down here are much beyond my worthiness....In fact I am speechless…And I also know love doesn't need crutches of worthiness....It happens and happnes forever...Dear kids,I have this wealth, that I will cherish as long as I breathe in this mortal coil....And if ever I leave this planet, I will be intact in you, in your kids, in your kids' kids and so on and so forth...I have hundreds of gems, all sparkling in my bosom's firmament .....I know dear kids, many of you maybe disheartened that you could not gift me like Anjali, Aakanksha, somesh or Hemant...Yet be sure, my heart is always abrim with your love, the finest gift you have given me to be cherished in the years to come....But I can't resist some of the names who wished me. Here is the inventory.Abhishek (vakeel sahab)Ruchi (the professor)Harsh (sandeep calls him ghoda)Sandeep1 and 2 (pandit ji and sardar ji)Anubhav (commando fauzi)Rajat (poet rajat)Vyakhya (mastarni)Sandhya (chashmish and khisiyantti)Garima (no comments)Ayushi (the poet)Arvind (beemar guy)Anjali 1 2 & 3 (saxena, dubey and mishra)Nidhi (the would be mastarni)Aakanksha Saxena (the shadishuda)Rachin (hari kameej vaale)Rohit (thakur saab)Neeraj (the phlegmatic guy)Yashasvi (neta ji)Harihar (fauzi + dancer neta)Shashank (the avatar of sadguru)Reena (the fauzi girl)Priyanshi (chhutkanni)ShikhaAyush (laal topi vale)Hemendra (the promising photographer)And finally Khushi (the doe-eyed girl who too is born on the Hiroshima day)I am always beholden to you for your immaculate love and bliss you have showered upon me.And a lot more who live in my heart, throb in my veins....Thanks…

Why do high-achieving and bright students in elementary school sometimes end up being merely average when they reach high school?

My son taught himself to read at age four. He was interested in all things related to science. One of his favorite birthday gifts was a subscription to Popular Science. I remember the day he gave up on school. He came from 7th grade, I asked him about his homework, he informed me he wasn't going to do it. "My homework is on nouns, verbs, and adjectives. I learned that in 4th grade and I am not doing it again just because some kids didn't pay attention."I am a teacher and my experience and the research I have read tells me that some very bright students need one to three opportunities to learn something new. Struggling students may need 30 to 40 repetitions to learn a concept. Now put them both in the same classroom and expect them to be successful. We have created a system that doesn't work for the very highest and lowest students. Unfortunately the answer is to spend more money on education, but in America we would rather fund prisons because we see it as a quick fix. Investing in education will take a while to see the benefits.

I had some questions for the Filmora customer department and was very impressed by how they interacted with me. In particular, Iris and Coco were extremely efficient in answering all my questions. I'm using Filmora9, and I love it! Thank you, girls, for making my experience with the company a pleasant one!
