If you are traveling with children the Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium and Safari in Litchfield Park is a great way to spend the day. You can sometimes find discounts on their website.In downtown Phoenix there is the Children's museum, which has some great exhibits. And the Phoenix Zoo is not too far away.Tempe Town Lake is another option where you can fish or even rent a boat to go out on the water. There is a walking trail around the lake which gives you the opportunity to stretch your legs. Through out the year there are various events being held by the lake.
