I worked very briefly for a American company in the U.K.I was employed 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. I was making the organisation a large amount of profit directly from the mark up they put on the hours I worked. No problem, good for them. I was happy with what they were paying me. A new manager arrived from the US and within a week he decided that we were not working long enough hours. Our weekly planning meetings were held on a Monday Morning but he changed the timing to Saturday Morning. Guess what nobody turned up. He went ape shit on Monday and threatened to fire us all. Within a month 90 % of the people had resigned. The business closed shortly after because the people were the business. Work life balance is a personal thing. We get one chance at life make the most of it. Sat in a office pretending to work is wasting what you have. Go home be with your family.
