But just barely.UPDATE: To be clear, the President is head of the Executive Branch but the powers of ALL executive branch officers are those created by the laws that create their positions or otherwise specify who can enforce that law. A court specifically ruled that the firing was illegal afterwards even when done by the acting AG because it was against the terms of his appointment.
