Reg 65: Fill & Download for Free

I got really derailed for years after failing in my first attempts several years ago. I finally passed FAR with a 76 Q3 2016 but more recently, I failed REG 65 Q1 2017 and AUD 68 just now for Q2. I had previously got 73 in AUD during Q4 2016 so the 68 hurt. I definitely did not refresh as well as I hoped and the exam changes threw a curveball.The only things that keep me going are knowing I can pass from the FAR score.I'm literally on the verge of quitting my job to not let me exam score pass. I'm a slightly older candidate and it's getting harder and harder I feel to retain information than 10 years ago.Absolutely regret not finishing this 10 years ago. I have CPA buddies calling me for technical accounting help, but I can't pass a stupid entry-level exam?That's what pushes me to get it done. Don't wait as I did.

This was years after I stopped being a cop. I took a couple of Exchange students to Florida during their winter vacation from High School. I was headed north on I-95 and I was probably doing 80 in a 65 I guess. Either way, I was in the left lane and going faster than the traffic on my right. I spotted a FHP Mustang Cruiser going the other way and saw his lights come on and cross the center strip obviously coming after me.Once stopped the Trooper stepped up, said Good Morning and politely informed me that he had clocked me on radar. He took my license and registration back to his cruiser returning with my license, Reg and a Citation which specified a $210 fine and he explained my options for taking care of it.I noticed he was wearing a pin saying he was Trooper of the Month. I asked him about it and told me he just got officer of the quarter. He was professional and polite to the point of being friendly and, even though he just cost me $210 I genuinely liked this Trooper.I asked if I could make a couple of suggestions. I told him I didn't want him to think that I was being a wise guy because I am not. He said OK. I told him I had been an officer in my younger years. And I noticed he made a few mistakes. He asked what I thought he had done wrong.I said first your cruiser is directly behind me. We were taught to line our cruisers center line with the left taillight of the stopped vehicle and turn your wheels out offering you some protection if someone slams into the back of your cruiser. He agreed he and said he was being sloppy. I watched him approach and he hadn't touched my rear taillight leaving his prints on my car. Lastly when he came up to my window he was standing right in front of it. If I was a bad guy with a gun I could have killed you.He shook his head and told me I was right about everything that I said. He thanked me for the reality check and said: “You know, when you do this day after day with no problems, it is easy to get sloppy“.I told him I was impressed with his curbside manner and I liked him right away and said that I just want you to be safe. He sincerely thanked me for my concern and advice, and promised to be more careful, we shook hands, he asked me to watch my speed and hoped the rest of the 1000 miles ahead would be smooth and safe.It was without a doubt the most enjoyable traffic stop I was on the receiving end of and I didn't even mind the $210 fine. My young friends, one from Germany and the other from Russia couldn't believe the way it all went down. They said that would would never happen in their countries and I felt like I had made a new friend.I even wrote the FHP commending Trooper Moore's professionalism and mannerism saying he was a credit to the Department. This was about 18 years ago. He must be retired by now but if you are out there and read this I would love to hear from you.

I served aboard the Enterprise CVN-65 for four years. Here's the non-ironic, ‘Murica answer.Suppose the enemy does get close enough, and suppose they manage to board via, say, the fantail. Pretend the carrier is sitting at anchor or something.If they are unarmed, or hiding their weapons really well, the first reaction of any non-security non-officer personnel is going to be “huh. Must be hosting something with some foreigners.” Unharassed, they will go on about their day. This reaction is born of the sheer unlikelihood that a carrier could be boarded forcefully.So long as these foreign “guests" make no hostile movements and don't encounter security or someone who would actually know that they're not supposed to be there, they would go unmolested. They could walk around most spaces on board that aren't locked off. I'm sure they would eventually be discovered and summarily trounced.It's important to note that American sailors on a carrier have a certain sense of invincibility about them, reinforced with a sense of disinterest. Most of them just want to eat and hit their rack after a long duty shift. They're generally incurious, a state typically encouraged by their higher ups. Unless it is their job or hobby to be suspicious, they try not to get involved beyond the absolute letter of the regs.So, honestly, if a carrier were in some way boarded without the enemy getting blown up at sea, all they really have to do is be inconspicuous and nonthreatening. There's no way I can think of to board that way, but you asked.
