The controller directs Bueno to contact Northeast Air Defense Sector (NEADS), the northeast sector of NORAD.The controller then notifies Otis Operations Center that a call from NEADS might be coming.Two F-15 pilots begin to suit up.So at this point we are 14 minutes in.8:37:52: Boston Center control notifies NEADS of the hijacking of Flight 11, the first notification received by NORAD that Flight 11 had been hijacked. The controller requests military help to intercept the jetliner.This is the “official” call and notification, though the military is already responding.8:46: Two F-15 fighter jets are ordered to scramble from Otis Air National Guard Base in Massachusetts, intended to intercept Flight 11. Because Flight 11's transponder is off, the pilots do not know the location of their target. NEADS spends the next several minutes watching their radar screens in anticipation of Flight 11 returning a radar contact.For a peacetime alert, this is pretty fucking fast. In 9 minutes we’ve ordered scrambled fighters. Unfortunately, 8:46 is when the flight 11 hits the north tower… Yet this is the aircraft that they were scrambled to find (which they could not as it had turned off its transponder).8:50: NEADS is notified that a plane has struck the World Trade Center as they continue to try to locate the flight on radar.So it’s a full four minutes between the hit and Air Defense even knowing about the crash, plus some bit of time to figure out that this is one in the same.8:51: A flight controller at the FAA's New York Center notices that Flight 175 had changed its transponder code twice four minutes earlier; he tries to contact the flight.This is our first indication that something is seriously wrong, but only in retrospect.8:52: The F-15s at Otis Air National Guard Base are airborne. Still lacking an intercept vector to Flight 11 (and not aware that it has already crashed), they are sent to military controlled airspace off Long Island and ordered to remain in a holding pattern until between 9:09 and 9:13.Only six minutes from the order, we have fighters in the air. This communication indicates that they aren’t yet aware that Flight 11 is what hit the WTC.At 9:03, Flight 175 hits the south tower. Simulations, NEADS is notified of the second hijacking.Okay, let’s take a pause here. Basically, the first half of the attack is done before we know it’s started.8:56: Ten minutes after the North Tower of the World Trade Center was hit by Flight 11, the transponder on Flight 77 is turned off and even primary radar contact with the aircraft is lost. During radar blackout Flight 77 turns east, unnoticed by flight controllers. When primary radar information is restored at 9:05, controllers searching for Flight 77 to the west of its previous position are unable to find it.Flight 77 travels undetected for 36 minutes on a course heading due east toward Washington, D.C.9:24: The FAA notifies NORAD's Northeast Air Defense Sector about the suspected hijacking of Flight 77. The FAA and NORAD establish an open line to discuss Flight 77, and shortly thereafter Flight 93.9:25: The Otis-based F-15s establish an air patrol over Manhattan.So it’s taken awhile, but now we have a CAP over Manhattan (a bit late), and some awareness that Flight 77 is hijacked, but no idea where it is.9:28: Hijackers storm the cockpit on Flight 93 and take over the flight. The entry of the hijackers is overheard by flight controllers at Cleveland.This is our first indication of the fourth hijacking.9:32: Controllers at the Dulles Terminal Radar Approach Control in Virginia observe "a primary radar target tracking eastbound at a high rate of speed", referring to Flight 77.This is our reappearance of Flight 779:36: Cleveland advises the FAA Command Center that it is still tracking Flight 93 and inquires whether someone had requested the military to launch fighter aircraft to intercept the aircraft.At 9:37, Flight 77 hits the Pentagon.10:03 (approximately): The National Military Command Center learns from the White House of Flight 93's hijacking.10:03:11: United Airlines Flight 93 is crashed by its hijackers and passengers10:07: NEADS, controlling the only set of fighters over Washington, first learns of the hijacking of Flight 9310:10: NEADS emphatically tells fighter pilots over Washington, "Negative clearance to shoot."10:31: NORAD first communicates the Vice President's shootdown authority to NEADS.As you see, by the time the fighters were given weapons release authority, the attack had been done for half an hour.Ultimately, the total time from begin to end of the attack was really just over an hour, and that’s just not enough to spin up the giant apparatus that is the US military, coordinate with the FAA and civilian airlines, and get armed warplanes on intercept. We got fighters in the air quickly enough, but we had no idea where to send them until it was too late, and longstanding prohibitions against blowing civilian airliners out of the sky simply aren’t changed on a dime, regardless.

There is No trading on Saturday, Sunday and Published Indian Stock Market Holidays declared by the Indian Stock Exchange in advance. The Market Opens at: 09:15 hours and Closes at: 15:30 hours. Pre open trade session will be from 09:00 to 09:15 hoursPre-open trade session is a 15 minute trade session from 9:00 AM to 9:15 AM on the 50 stocks of NIFTY index. Only 50 stocks of the NIFTY index can be traded during this time on both NSE and BSE. Normal trading for all other stocks will start at 9:15 AM till 3:30 PM.WHY PRE MARKET SESSION?In case a major event or announcement comes overnight before market opens, such events are likely to bring heavy volatility on the next day when the market opens. Special events include merger and acquisition announcements, open offers, delistings, debt-restructurings, credit-rating downgrades etc which may have a deep impact on investors wealth. In order to stabilize this, pre open call auction is conducted to discover the right price and to reduce volatility.BREAK-UP OF 15 MINUTESThe 15 minutes of pre open session is broken into 8 + 4 + 3.The first 8 minutes: During this session investors can place/ modify /cancel orders on the basis of which the exchanges would determine the rates at which trading would happen.
