Women were pretty badass when they chose to be.I found this interesting story.Jeanne de Clisson was a Bretton noblewoman during the 14th century. Her husband was accused of being a traitor by the French government and subsequently beheaded.Enraged from her husband’s death, Jeanne sold her house and lands to buy three ships. She waged war as a pirate against the French for 13 years. She was known as the “Lioness of Brittany” and her ships as the “Black Fleet”.She was said to personally behead any French nobility she captured. Her goal was to kill King Phillip VI.French merchants and traders sailed in fear of her.Jeanne’s career ended after over a decade of piracy. The English king recognized her service and she remarried into the nobility. Jeanne lived the rest of her life in peace.I find Jeanne’s story fascinating and inspiring for a number of reasons.It’s correct that females performedn’t have lots of energy into the fourteenth century but Jeanne discovered a way to have the power she required. Nothing stood inside her way.not only this but she set straight down her axe. At the end of her war she decided to maybe not live-out the remainder of her life in hate, which she'd’ve already been well justified in performing.To which i could only say
