PDF Editor FAQ

If Prince Charles had a son with Duchess Camilla who was older than Prince William, would that son precede Prince William for the throne, considering Prince Charles is now married to Duchess Camilla, hence the son would be legally legitimate?

No. Prince William has not been made illegitimate just because of his father’s remarriage, so if Charles and Camilla had a son now, he would be after William, George, Charlotte, the new prince, Harry, and any future issue of Harry and Meghan’s.If a son of Charles and Camilla, conceived during their previous marriages, popped up, he would not now be in line for the throne. He would be a child born out of wedlock, a product of an affair.I believe UK law states that if two people who are unmarried have children out of wedlock, subsequent marriage of the parents legitimises the children, but they are not in line to inherit any titles borne by their parents as subsequent children born within the marriage would be. For example, take David Lascelles, 8th Earl of Harewood - he’s 58th in line to the British throne, a great-grandson of George V and second cousin to the Queen’s children, including Prince Charles. His children are:Lady Emily Tsering Shard (born 23 November 1975 in Bath), obtained Royal Consent to marry from the Privy Council on 12 February 2008. She married Matthew Shard. Lady Emily and her husband are the parents of twins, Isaac and Ida (born 2009), and Otis (born 2011).[1]The Hon. Benjamin George Lascelles (born 19 September 1978 in Bath), a conservationist. Although he was Lord Harewood's eldest son, he is unable to inherit his father's titles as his parents were not married at the time of his birth. He obtained Royal Consent from the Privy Council[2] to marry Colombian Carolina Vélez Robledo on 18 April 2009 at Harewood House.[3] The couple have a son, Mateo, born in January 2013.Alexander Edgar Lascelles, Viscount Lascelles (born 13 May 1980 in Bath). He is a chef and heir-apparent to the earldom. He has a son, Leo Cyrus Anthony Lascelles (born 2008), by his ex-girlfriend Laleh Yeganegy (born 1980). Married Annika Reed (born September 1984) on August 18, 2017 at Kew Gardens, London. [4]The Hon. Edward David Lascelles (born 19 November 1982 in Bath). Edward Lascelles, obtained royal consent to marry his long-term girlfriend, Sophie Cartlidge, on 2 August 2014.Lady Emily and her next-younger sibling The Hon. Benjamin George Lascelles were born before the marriage of their parents, the 8th Earl and his first wife, Margaret. Subsequently, their parents married and had two more children - Alexander, the Earl’s heir and holder of the courtesy title Viscount Lascelles, and finally The Hon. Edward Lascelles. The eldest two were legitimised by their parents’ subsequent marriage, but not able to inherit their father’s title. They are also not in line to the British throne; Alexander, too, succeeds their father in that. So even if some son of Charles and Camilla’s born before their marriage was subsequently legitimised, he would not be in line for the throne.

My parents say they do not want the Covid19 vaccine. How can I convince them to get vaccinated? I have already been vaccinated and have had no issues. Help!

My mom is 89 and she didn't want the vaccine in the beginning, either. She said she wanted to wait a little bit to see what the side effects were. This alarmed me quite a bit because she has congestive heart failure. This, plus her age, places her in the high risk category to develop complications if she were to get Covid. My two older sisters live with her and I always worry about them dragging it home to her.I got my shot in January 2021 due to working for a hospital. I had no issues with it.I think what finally convinced mom to get vaccinated was when my sister got exposed from a student. My sister never got it, thank goodness but my mother realized that she wasn't safe even staying home. After about 2 months of observing me (to make sure I didn't grow horns from my vaccine), my mother finally changed her mind and consented to get the vaccine.

What do Muslims believe the minimum age for marriage should be? Should the girl's opinion matter at all if the guardian has agreed to marry her off?

Muslim woman are allowed to marry when they reach puberty. But if you ask my personal opinion, I will answer that above twenty is ideal age to marry. At those age, she will adult enough to make her own reasonable decision, not based on her current emotional situation. Marriage in Islam need the bride"s consent. if her father/guardian force her, the marriage will be invalide. The problem is, there are many father force his daughter to marry for money, at very young age, without considering the harm can be done by her soon to be husband. And some muslim country don't do anything to prevent that, what like happened in Yemen. Because they think it's againts Syari'a law. Just because you allowed to marry at say...13, doesn't mean you are old enough to become a proper wife and a mother.Another problem: Girls tend to date at very young ages. It applied to all girl, even they are muslim, even the goverment have strict rules about the age of consent. How old a girl loose their virginity? How many mother worried their belove daughter, since the ask birth controlling at 13, or 14? How many teenage mother, a single teenage mother who have to take care her own child since her boyfriend dump her and refuse to involve in raising their child? How many premarital sexual relationship do by 13 - 14 young girl in the world? And I know by myself how this teenage mother have to take care her children (with very poor skill in parenting and nursing) while have to make money to feed the child. When it come to premarital sex, the worst victim will be woman. Become incapable teenage single mother, looked down by her society, have to strunggle to earn lower salary because she is uneducated enough to get decent job, health suffering from too early childbirth, even unprofesional abortion. That why I still choose above twenty with no premarital sex invulve, since adultery is big sin. Is it posible? Of course. Many believer muslim woman did that, I know them personaly. However, if the girl insist to marry at very young age (maybe bacause she have boyfriend), I will suggest to her parent to give her guidance to take care her household, postpone their wish to have children until her body fully grown, and continue her education while married. What if her soon to be husband refuse this condition? If I were her father, I will encourge my baby girl to refuse his proposal, since he is not good enough for her.
