However, hip-hop and electronic has been gaining traction lately, especially after Rich Chigga became a YouTube superstar and signed with an American label. 88rising is a very good platform for Asian hip-hop and electronic artists to get international recognition. 88rising currently manages Rich Chigga, so Indonesian artists can get connection to tap the international market or collaborate with international artists through them. I hope some American makes a channel similar to 88rising but focuses on Asian indie alternative scene or something like Pitchfork but for Asia. These artists will wreck the market. Indonesia has a very interesting future in music.I think I’ll keep expanding this list. Happy browsing guys! Feel free to ask. I’ll talk about the oldies and traditional music another time.
