100% bollocks.Some facts:Of the 2 million US troops in Europe, no more than 500,000 were ever on the front lines.The bulk of the US troops did not enter the front lines until after the German Spring Offensive when the front had already been stabilized.Although the Germans did transport 3.5 million troops from the Eastern Front to the Western Front in 1917/1918, only 575,000 were armed combat troops. They formed 44 Infantry Divisions, all of which were badly mauled or destroyed before the Americans joined the front lines in July 1918.A 1919 German government study concluded the British Blockade would have finished off Germany in early 1919, with or without the Hundred Day Offensive, with or without Americans present.With hindsight, it would have been better if the US stayed out of the War. It is the presence of the American troops in France that prompted the Allies to start the Hundred Day Offensive which, in turn, sparked the German scorched-earth policy.

I know I’m probably far too late to the party to help, but please do not follow the advice given in the other two answers. The short answer is: if the mod contains an .esp, you don’t. If the mod is only textures, you can install them as-is, no worries, except for landscape textures (something about the .tga’s, not sure what). If the mod contains meshes, you need to run those through NIF Optimizer before installing the mod.The long answer is that Special Edition uses a different form than Oldrim. SE is Form 44, Oldrim is Form 43. This means that the two games store information in different places. Not everything, but some things, and if the mod you’re using contains something that’s stored in a different place, Skyrim will freak out (crash outright or get corrupted over time, which is pretty much impossible to fix).Form 43 can be converted to Form 44 by resaving it in the Special Edition Creation Kit. However, and this is key, you cannot do the reverse. Period. I don’t know why this is a point of contention (the Oldrim Creation Kit hasn’t been updated since before SE came out and thus doesn’t know what a Form 44 is or what to do with it, and barring miracles, never will), but the Oldrim CK absolutely will not change Form 44 mods to Form 43.Now, what you can do if you’re really desperate is recreate the Form 44 .esp in xEdit. You’ll need to have the Form 44 .esp open. Check what it modifies. If they’re vanilla records, you’ll need to copy them, but, importantly, you’ll need to copy the vanilla record itself, not the record from the mod. If it creates new records, you’ll need to recreate those yourself.Once you’ve done that, you can then load up the Form 44 .esp and your new .esp and start carrying over changes from the Form 44 .esp. You have to kind of know what you’re doing for this step to work. You can’t just carry things over willy-nilly. You need to be keeping a close eye on whether the records you’re changing changed with the new form, whether parameters are in the same place, whether the parameters even exist… It’s difficult, and awkward, and it takes absolutely forever. I’ve only done it the once and I’ve been stringently avoiding doing it again. If you go for it, best of luck. Please don’t put SE .esp’s straight into your Oldrim.
