What are some conservative ideas that can be phrased in such a way as to appear liberal?

I’ve got 5 for you right here. The individual mandate for health insurance was a conservative idea.First proposed in 1989 by the very-conservative Heritage Foundation, it was billed as a "consumer-oriented, market-based, comprehensive American health system" (they’ve conveniently removed it from their web site but not before a PDF of the plan was archived by the Wayback Machine [1]).The GOP fully endorsed the idea and included it as part of their counter-proposal to the Clinton health proposal in the early 90s.Republicans embraced the idea as requiring "personal responsibility" from all those deadbeats out there who were getting a free ride on the taxpayer's dime.[2]The conservative idea was then implemented by a Republican governor who referred to himself as “severely conservative.”[3] The Republicans as a party felt he was conservative enough to represent their party at the top of their presidential ticket in 2012, following a primary season where he reaffirmed his position in a national debate with the statement, “I like mandates. The mandates work.”[4]Health insurance exchanges were also a conservative idea.In order to secure liberal support, the above two ideas were packaged with other elements of the Affordable Care Act that combined to form a holistic approach to significantly increasing access to quality healthcare. Without breaking into an extensive breakdown of the argument with each of the features and their benefits, the first line of the pitch to liberals was basically: Everyone deserves healthcare and this will bring us much closer to universal coverage. Then when Republicans nicknamed it “Obamacare” they also made it appear liberal.[Epilogue: Liberals accepted both ideas and Conservatives renounced it.]“Cap and Trade” was also a conservative idea. It was a market based solution that was successfully used to combat acid rain in the ‘90s and was similarly proposed in the 2000s as a market based means of reducing carbon emissions contributing to climate change. It was essentially the conservative alternative to the more liberal ideas, such as simply setting legal limits enforced by fines. It emerged as a compromise liberals could accept as it would still achieve the environmental goal in a way that offered industry more flexibility in how they dealt with it, while simultaneously making greener businesses more cost effective. It was part of both the Republican and the Democratic party platforms in 2008. The phrase that won over liberals was how it would put a price on carbon.[Epilogue: Liberals accepted the idea and Conservatives renounced it.][5][6][7] [8]Conservative idea: Instead of passing gun laws, we should do more in the area of mental health. Although liberals think the problem is bigger than that and it is a mistake to blame the problem on mental illness, they actually required little convincing to agree that the country could do better in that area. If there’s a phrasing that won over liberals it was: Improvements in how we deal with mental illness are sorely needed anyway, and anything that reduces the massive gun violence problem is most welcome.[Epilogue: Liberals accepted the idea but Conservatives abandoned it.][9][10][11][12][13][14][15]End of Life counseling for Medicare patients was a conservative idea. Before Republicans deemed it “death panels” and freaked out seniors and defamed the counseling idea in overwrought demagoguery, they put the idea into their own 2003 Medicare bill. To get liberals on board, the way to phrase it would be: Medicare’s expenses disproportionately come from a senior or terminally ill patient’s last year of life, which often involves the family requesting extensive measures that the patients themselves do not want, but can no longer express. Making counseling available so they can make carefully reasoned, informed decisions together before this situation arises can not only save patients and their loved ones some anguish, but also keep Medicare on more solid financial footing.[Epilogue: Liberals accepted the idea and Conservatives renounced it.][16]Footnotes[1] https://web.archive.org/web/20140113124903/http://thf_media.s3.amazonaws.com/1989/pdf/ci_0891950494.pdf[2] The Individual Mandate's Conservative Origins[3] Romney- I was a Severely Conservative Governor[4] Mitt Romney - "I like mandates. Why do some teenagers in the United States get pregnant?

I knew a girl who was 10–11 years old and she got pregnant, and I knew a girl who was about 13–14 when she got pregnant. These kids went to the schools I went to, and in each of those health classes there was a general lack of a sex talk, and if there was ever sex to be talked about, it was often a quick monologue about abstinence with very very few forms of actual sex education thrown in there, mainly focused on the words, “Don’t have sex ever because we care about you.” and depending on the school, “Condoms.” other than that, they never went into detail.I’ve been to quite a few schools in my time: public, Christian private school, school for homeschoolers, and online school. Each of these had various sexual ed. programs. And only 2 out of the 5 actually clearly addressed forms of contraception, STIS, STDS, and were unbiased and in-depth.Teens getting pregnant is due to abstinence-focused and fear-based/biased education taught in most schools. I am sure that very few teens get out there and have sex for the sole purpose of getting pregnant.Sex is often seen as a taboo topic, and girls are often sexualized at a young age, and this can lead to slut-shaming; thus only adding to the ignorance pile of sex education in the U.S.

Why do people dislike Jeff Bezos?

He is hated, much like the rest of the modern bourgeoisie, because he exploits people under slavelike conditions while mocking their hardships with his lavish lifestyle and claims of being an example of a hard worker. The only thing that’s distinctive about Jeff Bezos when he is compared with other exploiters, is that he just does it to such an extreme scale. This is the man who said he has so much money, he can’t think of any other way to spend it than to fund private space tourism.[1][2][3][4]Money has no worth to him anymore. To him, $88.000 has the same value as $1 does to the average person.[5]Keep in mind that this was said, all while his workers face horrible conditions,[6][7][8][9] having to pee in bottles,[10] skip bathroom breaks,[11] and accept that their jobs will likely cause mental and physical health problems[12]that they won’t be able to treat due to their meager wages.[13][14]Immigrant workers were kept inside hostels against their will by a known neo-nazi security firm,[15]and workers in Scotland were forced to sleep in the woods because they could not afford to go home.[16]These horrible conditions caused workers in Europe, a region with more unionized workers than the US,[17] to strike and call for boycotts.[18][19][20][21]In the US, workers have reported that they are kept from forming unions, even being fired if they are trying to unionize,[22] and are pressured into voting against unions.[23][24]This anti-union activity isn’t even hidden by Amazon. As a matter of fact, they are quite open about training their supervisors in spreading anti-union proganda.[25]The list of problems Jeff Bezos could easily solve without even being able to feel the expenses is long, and I won’t write it down here for the sake of keeping this answer relatively short (Others already have written it anyways), but saying he has too much money to spend on anything besides space tourism for the richest of the rich, that’s just heartless mockery of the countless lives he has ruined so far, and the countless more he will continue to destroy.
