I had a very bad experience with Max Bupa insurance Policy which I took 4 years back for my parents.We visited a doctor for my mother as she was facing issues during menopause. The doctor suggested hysterectomy. Along with that she said she will do pelvic floor repair as well, since my mother reported Endometrial mass from last 2 years which is a very trivial problem. Due to language issue or something doctor misheard 2 years with 10 years and wrote the same on her prescription.We went for a second opinion from a renowned doctor in Hyderabad who denied need of any kind of surgery and suggested to go for a minor procedure. We happily agreed to her and went ahead with Pre-Auth with Max Bupa. I naively submitted all the papers including the prescriptions from first doctor correctly. They responded saying Endometrial mass is a pre-existing(existing before first inception of Policy) disease and we have not declared it. They not only denied my claim and cancelled my policy, also they did not return premium for the current tenure quoting below clause:Clause 3: Cancellation by us: You or any Insured Person has not disclosed the material facts or misrepresented in relation to the Policy.They even wrote that both the issues are interrelated which is absurd(I asked my doctors).I went to the first doctor asking if she can correct her prescription, but she denied saying she had written what she had heard.My mother wrote an affidavit too saying that this issue has been for 2 years only, but they did not budge.I spoke to many relatives/acquaintances from insurance background but I was shocked to know that there is no way out.I had registered a complaint with consumer forum online, but have not heard back from them yet. I called up IRDA helpline too but their infrastructure was pathetic.Max Bupa has charged me Rs. 24800 for the similar policy which one could get for Rs. 11000 in any Public Sector Insurance Company.I would advice everyone to stay away from Private insurance companies for health insurance at least unless they have contacts in that company.

The AAP government eased the procedure to submit VAT and at the same time it stopped raiding traders. It also came to notice that the Delhi police wasn't interested in taking bribes and harassing during their term. This was the carrot that it gave to traders.At the same time AAP was so strict against corruption (sting operations, anti-corruption helpline, mass transfer of DCB officials, CAG audit ... ) that corruption fell by almost 50% (rather 50% people from Delhi said corruption has reduced).Business needs a level playing ground, good infrastructure, friendly policies and little or no harrasment from the government authorities. AAP provided all but the good infrastructure as it takes time.
