Is Prezi (rather than keynote / Powerpoint) appropriate for Investor meetings?

Hi there! Prezi has the advantage of allowing you to create really stunning presentations if you know how to leverage their zoomable, infinite canvas. However, this can become a double edge sword if you overuse the feature and come up with a presentation that is literally capable of making people dizzy (I bet you don’t want that to happen with investors).I would recommend using any of these online presentation tools for your investor meetings:SLIDEBEAN ★ ★ ★ ★ ★a. As a first time entrepreneur of a tech startup company, what am I expected to bring to a meeting with a venture capital firm? I have a business plan and a Powerpoint pitch on a laptop, but what else should I bring?

You listed everything you need - pen and paper are optional. Call up the VC you will be presenting to and ask if you can present on-screen and ask if they have a projector for you to use. Most (99%) will supply the projector and prefer an on screen presentation. In addition to the PowerPoint pitch or as part of it, you should be prepared to do a demo or present your MVP.Bring written copies of you PowerPoint presentation to leave behind. Unless it is requested, don't hand out the presentations until you are done. If you hand them out then the VCs will likely start flipping ahead and take you off presentation. Be prepared to jump around in your presentation in any case as you will be interrupted with questions during the presentation which you likely address later in the presentation causing you to jump forwards and backwards if the VC doesn't want to wait until later in the presentation to address their question. It is important to be flexible and not flustered by being pulled off presentation. You can always follow up by sending the business plan in an email if the VCs want it.Remember, the goal of this meeting will be to have another meeting. You aren't going to close an investment based on this meeting. Keep the presentation looking clean and don't make it too long. The VC may drill down on different areas during the presentation but the real deep dive won't take place until the VC gets into due diligence. If you don't know the answer to a question during the meeting, say so - no bullshit. Get the VC the answer after the meeting if it's important. At the end of the presentation you want the VC to believe that there is a large market opportunity for your differentiated business and that you/your team are the right ones to execute the plan to a successful outcome....subject to due diligence.A pen and paper are great but, the most important thing you need to bring to the meeting is poise, confidence and honesty.Good luck!

Is there an iPad app that will allow me to present a Keynote or PowerPoint and allow the people in the meeting to view the slides on their iPads as I control the presentation?

I’m not aware of any dedicated app for this purpose but there is a web service that lets you publish presentation as a standalone app on phone. The name of the service is DeckDeckGo. It is an online presentation editor where you can quickly make presentations and publish them online to share online. It lets you send the presentation to the mobile device by scanning a code. Once the presentation opens on the mobile devices, you can add it to the home screen and make it a standalone app.It doesn’t stop there. If you do the same while editing the presentation, you can remotely access the presentation on the phone. You can annotate the slides on the phone and the changes are reflected on the web in real-time. You can also set a timer for the presentation to revoke the mobile access automatically. In terms of presentation appearance, you can add images, GIFs, code, and background to the slides. You can use this editor to quickly create a presentation without sign in but to save the presentation online, you have to create an account.Source: ILFS
