They monitor directly thro’ its ground-level research teams attached with UN base offices, thro’ intelligence reports of various countries, thro’ secondary data of various research groups, thro’ media reports and other classified means.In the last report, ie the report made on 16 July 2020, the ASSMT has detailed activities of these organization in many parts of the world.Letter, 16 July 2020, from the Chair of the Security Council Committee Established pursuant to Resolutions 1267 (1999), 1989 (2011) and 2253 (2015) concerning Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (Da'esh), Al-Qaida and Associated Individuals, Groups, Undertakings and EntitiesIn Section E that highlights the details of terrorist organization activities in Asia, there is a reference about Kerala and Karnataka in Page 16. Its only one line reference. The below is the screenshot of that reference. This is point number 68Did you see two statements written there“One Member state reported that” and “Karnataka.”How come these two are crucial details being missed?ASSMT didn’t directly observe this, rather one member state (could be Indian Govt or any other govt part of this team, which isn’t disclosed) reported that there is an Indian unit of ISIL and they have operatives in Kerala and Karnataka states.The critical point here is, this is not the UN’s findings or direct observation. Rather this is a report which ASSMT informs to the Security Council about the various reports they get. One Member state informed ASSMT about such an organization and the presence in 2 states which ASSMT informs the Security councilTechnically there is nothing new or unusual in this. Only on May 10 2019, ISIS announced the establishment of a new unit called Hind Wilayah. So if India govt gives a report of its findings to ASSMT, it cannot be called the UN’s findings or report. Rather it's reporting of member state’s observations with UN Security council.I am amused by seeing the level of questions rising here on this.But the common trend is that references of Karnataka is omitted and the ones of Kerala retained.I took the liberty to count, there are only 7 questions penetrating about ISIS activities in Karnataka in a Quora search, while many more exist for Kerala.Even this question pinpoints only Kerala, not Karnataka. What it points out?The usual Right Wing Propoganda machinery active in Quora. The whole chatters in QUORA over this topic is trying to create a narrative that Kerala is infested with ISIS. That narrative has no use for Karnataka as already Operation Lotus has been achieved.There are 100s of such questions here. And any detailed counter-opinion gets either collapsed or removed.I made one detailed answer why there was ISIS operatives from Kerala with clear cut stats figures, detailed analysis why few have joined and how Kerala State-controlled that menace.Trust me, that answer was collapsed 3 times and after appealing and reporting, Quora Moderation restored the answer. She realized, if she hurts anyone Rakthabeeja, it will end up creating another 100 demons. More she kills, 10 times the number increases. So she took a bowl and collected all the blood as soon as she kills one Rakthabeeja, ensuring not a drop of blood goes down. She drank that blood to ensure the pot can take all the blood of Rakthabeejas she killed.That story applies over ISIS case.ISIL Indian unit is not the usual Pathan Kurtha wearing- Urdu speaking Jihadis which one sees in Kashmir. Infact, ISIS isn’t even connected to ISI Pakistan. Rather it operates as totally separate group and their aim is not to help Pakistan or any other country to achieve their geopolitical strategy. Rather they aim to achieve a geopolitical entity by themself.This is one thing, which majority of Indians haven’t still got it. They consider ISIL as typical to another JeM or LeT or similar groups who works for ISI Pakistan for achieving their political aims thro’ terrorism. This can be best understandable in the story of the popular Indian Web series- The Family Man, where you see an ISIS terrorist (who is a Malayalee) trying to launch a terrorist attack in India thro’ Kashmir route (or even a Mumbai route) in the very typical stereotyped terrorist attack forumale as we usually associate with usual Pakistani Handlers.But in reality, hardly any ISIS terrorist has been caught for plotting a major terrorist attack in India. Infact, India so far hasn’t found any major terrorist plan by this group in India. The biggest joke is that ISIS didn’t even consider India as part of its network. They just kept few small portions of India to their so-called Khorasan Province originally.ISIS as a political entity aims to recreate itself as a successor of Ottoman Caliphate and previous Muslim Empires. It primarily aims to return back to the glorious days of Baghdad Caliphate sultanate who had moral authority over entire places where Muslim Soldiers could invade and capture in the name of Islam.It is not the typical terrorist organizations fighting for modern-day Geo-political reasons. They use terror to achieve their grand daydreams….For that reason, it has attracted a global community to its nest which includes the cream of society like highly educated people, through scientific psychological persuasion techniques. They even speak to people in their own language and aim to brainwash people. This includes even Non-Muslims as a few numbers of those who went to Syria to join ISIS were Non-Muslims who got converted for becoming an ISIS member.Due to this reason, they aren’t typical interesting in so-called Liberation of Kashmir as traditional terrorist groups aim for. It was only last year, even ISIS planned to start an Indian unit, which shows their lack of interest as their attention was the rebuilding the old Caliphate.Now the organization is destroyed in the heart of Caliphate, so many volunteers exist here and there, who does some activities on behest of its masters. So far, none of them was against India or its people at least for now in a big way.So the hullabaloo is much like making a Rat look like a tiger… Catching rat is important, but for that should we make it look like a tiger?But as what I said about Rakthabheeja, it's paramount for the state to ensure they don’t continue this psychological brain-washing process and attract people. For that scientific means of de-radicalization must happen.Some of them were really successful, especially the Operation Pigeon which Kerala Govt did a few years back and more such community engagement activity must be done to do so. Any attempt to instigate fear thro’ massive propaganda aimed for communalization and create a polarization attempt will be counter-productive as it's easy to instigate such feeble-minded people and drive them towards terrorism.For winning elections, communal and polarizing tactics will work as people may vote fearing the other side. But beyond the polling days, people have to live along with others in the society and fear of each other will drive both sides to more radicalized thoughts and thereby create more Rakthabeejas, especially in this case where ISIS attracts people thro’ scientific persuading techniques.I am sure, both Central and State Govts are in process of identifying these radical elements and trying to isolate them from society just like Kali uses her bowl wisely. And we as a society must help our governments de-radicalization programs for our as well as global citizen’s safety rather trying to create more Rakthabheejas in the society.So sorry, the UN Report is a serious attempt to the world be aware of the presence of these rodents in various parts of the world. For us, they are still small mouses which can be eliminated easily. Let's not make a plague out of them, through overrating their presence.

Having been accepted by Annapolis and all three Ivy League colleges to which I applied (with full tuition scholarships), I can perhaps speak with some conviction if not authority. At the time, an application depended upon the College Boards, an application form for each Ivy School and a personal essay. I have no insight into the committees who evaluated my applications. The Annapolis offer of a nomination was likely based on my Captain-ship of my HS football team, my honor society membership, my two All-Nassau Football Team elections and perhaps most important my football coach’s recommendation. My football coach was Joe Scanella who went on to be Special Teams Coach for the Oakland Raiders under Madden. But he was only a HS coach at the time, who had been in the Canadian Footbal League as a young man. He knew his football! Annapolis and the Ivy League are looking for raw talent and leadership potential. Your recommendation letters are perhaps the most important ‘proof’ of your leadership, and they should be anonymous, so you have little actual control of their wording other than how you have impressed the writers. I can not say that I was truly a ‘great leader’ as a HS student, but I showed evidence of potential. I was my HS class treasurer for 1 year, then I was elected President of the HS Student General Organization. I was also appointed Co-captain of my HS Football Team as mentioned above by my coach. In retrospect, I can not say I did much leading but I did get some experience talking in front of our football team and school assemblies and going to School PTA meetings as GO President. I guess that impressed my teachers who gave me good recommendations (I imagine). In general I would recommend anyone wanting to get recommendations for leadership to get involved, speak up about your opinions that you have thought through. Students who speak up about a topic often get appointed to deal with those topics, … that is the beginning of leadership. In sports, be good, know the rules and you may be chosen to lead the team in some respect. By knowing how to take a proper stance as a lineman and to block well, I was asked by the coach to demo that skill. If that happens often you become a leader.Anyone who stands in the background, in most instances, does not want to be a leader and will rarely be asked to be a leader. Step forward and volunteer if you want a leadership roll. It will become a habit. Local community leadership counts as well, as long as you have someone who can serve as a reference and can attest to your leadership. Starting early is important but start if you want to be a leader, otherwise be a good team member. Being a good follower is also essential to a team and society in general. Some evidence of being a good team member will also add to an Ivy League application.
