If it’s a format, make sure the steps of the format are clear. If it’s talent based, have bios and descriptions of the talent and what they’ll do for the show.Secure any talent you have. Get a short term holding deal with them and do interviews, then edit them into simple casting tapes. These can be over Skype and don’t have to be fancy.Find a production company. Networks rarely buy shows from novice outside producers. You’re much better off partnering with a company with the experience and reputation to actually pull the show off. Remember, a network isn’t just buying your idea, they are banking on your ability to pull that show off.
