PDF Editor FAQ

Where is there help for people who are being gang stalked?

Depends on the circumstances.I’ve been gang-stalked for the past 10 years in a truly noticeable way, and once I took steps to make sure I wasn’t mistaken, overly paranoid from years of smoking pot, or just plain crazy, I realized that I’d been part of a Masonic family and a Masonic community for all of my life (which ended up explaining a great many things). It wasn’t just strangers for me, it was family and friends, which makes it EXTREMELY difficult to deal with. The Mason cult monitors the people in their organization through a wide variety of high-tech means that they keep VERY secret, and they play off their “all seeing eye” knowledge as “coincidence”, “lucky guesswork”, or even the effects of “religion/ magic”. But they basically have people’s houses, cars and businesses wired for picture and sound, even public bathrooms where I’ve worked (and they can hack your existing tech, which does a lot of that for them anyway these days - even remote controls that are voice activated and work via wireless network basically put a microphone right next to your armchair, for example, and can be hacked by those who know how). They rely on people’s disbelief that anyone would be crazy enough or cruel enough to actually do that to someone, and a lot of people don’t care, because they think, “Well, I’m not doing anything weird or illegal anyway.” Most regrettably, the Masons use fear tactics and other enticements (both “carrot” and “stick”) to keep people from coming out about it, and they use movies and TV to cover it up, sensationalize it, or make it appear “paranoid” or slightly unreal somehow (the same tactic that worked for Catherine Trammell in Basic Instinct, basically). But the Masons aren’t the only ones who gang-stalk. I’m just another T.I., but a lot of us are open to helping each other. The problem is trust, since anything online can be hacked/ intercepted, and there’s no way to really know (for laymen like me) whether or not our intended message is getting through, or being intercepted and rewritten as gibberish on the other side.Comparing an otherwise mundane life to Mission: Impossible sounds kinda kooky, but in essence, that’s what Masonic gang-stalkers do sometimes. Its not uncommon to reach out for help online, and to THINK you’re getting it, only to find out that the T.I. you’re speaking to is hopped up on religion, revenge, alien implants or lizard men or something. And a lot of people under the stress of gang-stalking can sound pretty darned stressed. We all make typos, but its hard to tell what’s “stress-writing” or someone ignoring spell-check, and someone deliberately butchering your intended message, or intentionally trying to sound crazy to lump you in with all the “nuts”.Gang-stalkers like to have fun with their victims, and make them look paranoid (which is why the top searches involving gang-stalking often lead to fake “interest” videos from Vice or other groups who like to focus on the crazies as opposed to anyone reasonable). The Masons are deeply involved with government, police, and the corporate elites who control media (among every other walk of life), so it’s not surprising that most cursory searches lead to “legitimate” stories that focus on those poor folks who’ve got the zap on their heads. In other words, its in their interest to cover it up, and a LOT of ordinary people simply don’t want it to be true, so they don’t have to dig too deep to find what they’re looking for (reassurance). In your case, was there an inciting incident? Did you commit a crime, or offend someone in a position of power? Are you a Scientologist, connected to the Hasidic Jewish community? Did you work for a company and try to blow the whistle on some activity, or speak about it (thinking it was anonymous) online? The reasons WHY people are gang-stalked vary widely, so its important to know. The reason I ask is because SOME gang-stalking (Scientological, or corporate, for example), might be something you can fight with the aid of police, federal agencies, or the American Civil Liberties Union. Or if you’re on a school campus, and the local frat guys are targeting you, etc.If you’re like me though, and you were born into it, then (whether intentionally or not) ticked off/ embarrassed someone in politics, who pawned you off onto local Sheriffs, who pawned you off onto local Church groups and former criminals trying to “earn their wings” through a Masonic “phoenix” program, you may be SOL.The Masons have a lot of members who ARE cops, lawyers, judges, journalists, etc. (they cover pretty much all walks of life, all career types), and if you’re on their s#it list, they not only protect each other, but have the benefit of the common fraternity that makes ALL cops watch out for other cops, all people who work for government look out for their own, even when they might be dirty, or a little less than clean, or utterly corrupt in some cases. It turns out cops can fear other cops, and judges can fear other judges, and feds can fear other feds and/or other agencies. Then there’s the burden of PROOF. You can’t just file a report over a FEELING. You have to be able to PROVE a pattern if nothing else - not “mere coincidence”. That’s going to take time and effort, and most gang-stalkers aren’t going to make it easy. You spend a few weeks gathering evidence and making records, and suddenly your house/ apt gets broken into and you lose your evidence, etc. Yours will not be their first rodeo, so you’ll have to think outside the box. WAY outside the box.But on the bright side, like I said, other T.I.’s are generally available to help. The problem is sorting out which ones are actually trying to help, and which are priming you for the big let-down.In my case, some have pretended to be friends, but on closer inspection, only wanted to set me up for various pitfalls. In the Masonic community, like a lot of street-level gangs, you can earn big rewards for completing different tasks against different targets (like making them cry, leave town, kill themselves, etc.), so in my case, girls have flirted with me and pretended to like me, only to have some studly Sheriff come in all of a sudden when I start feeling hopeful, and get introduced as their new boyfriend, who’s SO GOOD in bed, etc. The “street theater” as they call it, can actually be pretty entertaining. They’re not so bright in a lot of cases, so once you know the drill, its pretty obvious. They’re making secret “reality TV” like Survivor, and they love to see themselves getting a good moment/ zinger/ whatever. You’re just an object to them in most cases, unless you can prove yourself to be something more, in which case they’ll often switch out the players until they get what they want. For the record, I personally am being targeted for my sexual interests online, and for saying “no” to their offer of membership. I was born into it, it turns out, and when my friends started hazing me at dinners or other times we’d hang out, I wrote it all off (for years) as just being “coincidence”. But it got progressively more specific and weird. Later I decided to see if I could control their behavior by faking my own in private, so I exaggerated my interests online, and sure enough, they took the bait, and the matching “coincidences” followed. But it wasn’t limited to my friends (who COULD have been hacking my computer, or, having known me for years, COULD have been picking up on subtle behavioral or vocal cues, like a tendency to defend the LBGTQ community, other minorities, porn stars, etc.), but again, their “coincidental” shots across my bow were just TOO specific to go unnoticed, and I got sick of it and decided to turn it around by giving them things to talk about. But at the time, I couldn’t fathom the scope of it. Family members who had no knowledge of, or contact with my friends - some who lived on the other side of the country, seemed to know things too; relatives would call me up and hint at things they shouldn’t have known about with ridiculously “coincidental” timing, and it was just “weird” to say the least. Weirder still that I was able to control that effect by exaggerating my interests and/or behavior, and waiting to see what would happen.Eventually they tried to recruit me into the Mason cult at the expense of my sexual fantasy life and personal freedom. I told them no, not understanding the consequences fully for joining OR declining, and I didn’t understand at the time the fact that I was already being controlled and monitored to a HUGE extent. I just didn’t know the sheer scope of it. Turned out some of my friends and girlfriends were more or less “assigned” to me. THAT was kind of heart-breaking, but from their perspective, they were earning brownie points with the authorities (Masonic, pretending to be legitimate), and just being good friends. The leadership put me on their s#it list for a combination of (imagined) sexual “deviances” (in their minds, anyway - to me, my sex fantasies are no different than my video game fantasies; I can handle violence without WANTING to be violent, and likewise I can handle fetishes without WANTING to live all my fantasies out in real life, but they reward anti-”pervert” behavior, and don’t have a problem making that analogy when they’re playing video games or watching movies. It’s just that as a culture, they’re prejudiced, and used to targeting specific sexual interests; especially “fringe” fetishes). And they put me on their list for saying “no” to the invitation to join, and ultimately for breaking the law in order to expose them. I’ve never been arrested (knock on wood), never been read Miranda, never been given anything remotely close to a fair trial, but I’ve been found guilty of thought-crimes by a Kangaroo court, and disobedience and failure to comply by corrupt cops who are used to getting what they want through these filthy East German tactics. Now I figure I’m poison to anyone looking for “credible” help, because I’ve smoked a lot of pot, I’ve done it in states where it’s not legal, I could EASILY be made out to be “paranoid” or a “sexual deviant” or even “criminal” (because I HAVE broken the law even though I’ve never been arrested or gone to jail). Even though I rarely smoke pot anymore, and I’ve only had sex with two women in my life - no men, kids or animals, lol - and both of my former girlfriends were long-term affairs; one I was hoping would be life-long, in fact, but after eight years I learned that she’d been in on it the whole time. The other one too, trying to keep custody of her kids after stealing a car in a coke-fueled, bipolar “manic” phase. But I defend people’s right to think and fantasize with no limits, and the Masons want to use technology to control the masses and/or individuals, including what they think. I simply reject that, and defend people’s rights to live and think FREELY without fear of persecution by those who don’t understand but think they do (by those who are prejudiced and/or inherently ignorant despite their technology). I believe they NOW understand the analogy between violent video games or horror movies NOT driving most people to imitate that behavior, and I believe they can apply that to sexual fantasies too, but they just don’t care. I embarrassed them. I speak honestly about my experiences. First rule of Fight Club is that you don’t tell anybody. For me, first rule is you don’t complicate life by hiding the truth. For me “True Love” is giving someone else ALL THE DATA and allowing them to decide what to do with it. Masons (and many others, perhaps), try to control the truth, control the narrative, so that they’re always PERCIEVED as being less flawed or more perfect than they actually are. I’m not above it, but at the end of the day, I must love a lot of strangers, because I’m telling a LOT of truth at some great expense. It has not gone over very well with local cops, trying to train their little Suicide Squad types to become better citizens. When I reject their authority (behind the scenes, mind you - not when they’re pulling me over for speeding or something), they tend to make an example out of me (by pulling me over for NOTHING, and doing worse), and I’ve been repeatedly threatened (INDIRECTLY) with financial ruin, physical ruin, incarceration, and death, and they LOVE to taunt me about how easy it would be to frame me.So in short, you may not want my help, because on paper I’m a pariah. That may be true of a LOT of Targeted Individuals. The Masons collectively see themselves as having higher standards than the rest of the population, which translates into arrogance. Weirdos, people who are odd, who don’t fit in, who have bizarre habits or “issues” like OCD, bipolar disorder, and the like, probably make easy targets. Once you’re under their control, maybe they try to help, but before that, you’re just a highly questionable individual in need of some covert attention.Individually, whether cops, politicians, clerks, clergy, whatever, they probably screwed up themselves at SOME point (maybe in admitting to their transgressions during a Scientology like “cleansing” session, or a Catholic “confession”), and now the cult more or less OWNS them and uses that dirt to keep them striving for something “higher” (the “church” did it for centuries before the separation of church and state, and it led to Holy Inquisitions), but it’s a cult - like Scientology, or early Christianity - and for all the good they do, they have a SERIOUS dark side (like Scientology, or even Christianity back when it was out of control and hopped up on state power). Now its the New World Order - the Masons being the lower level; the worker bees to the “elite” Templar class. It’s not all the fluffy mystery stuff you hear about on Discovery (although there is SOME of that once you’re in - and again, it boggles the mind how BIG it is; 2 million members in the U.S. alone, or 40,000 per state if you break it down evenly; MORE than enough to make it seem like a gazillion strangers are coincidentally bumping into you at the mall or whatever). But there’s a bright side. I’m NOT a sexual deviant. I’ve broken the law, but I don’t consider myself a criminal - in fact, after more than 10 years dealing with this cruel and unusual punishment stuff, I’m pretty darned sure I’ve PAID for my crimes both real and imagined at this point, with quite a bit of credit to spare. I’m knowledgeable and experienced when it comes to Masonic gang-stalking. So if you just want to talk to someone about it, I can volunteer, but again, it depends on YOUR story. In the mean time (and it CAN get pretty mean), if you have the money, or a credit card, and can afford to go buy two digital audio recorders, they can fit pretty discreetly on your arm with an iPod armband, and they record up to 12 hours at a time before blanking out for 5–15 seconds before starting the next recording (they hold up to 48 hours or more with a memory card). Used wisely, they can record audio 24–7. You might need an external hard drive to store the data. I’ve got about 2 years of audio on a 2 TB drive, and when I’m working, I keep one recorder on my arm, a backup in my pocket in case my work day goes over 12 hours or someone happens to “bump” me with something, and I keep one in my car to assist with any intruders.By using this method, I’ve cut way back on car problems, and problems at work. The Masons DO NOT want to get caught. It won’t stop them completely, but it might make them turn down loud music (if you tend to work in retail like me - they control my jobs, and the people I work with, so I haven’t been able to get promoted for a decade, and like boot camp in the military, if they want to find something to harp on to make it look like you suck at your job on paper, they know how).Keeping detailed records/ recordings might make them back off (a little) for fear of looking TOO blatant, which can be the difference between going home sane or going home feeling like your head’s on fire and you just want to burn your place of business to the ground.I’ve read about people taking their cases to the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union), but in America, I can’t find many - if any - cases against the Masons that get very far, or get reported IF they succeed. There were a few cases in England a few years back, but to my knowledge, even though they exposed police involvement, nothing really changed at the end of the day. The Anti-Mason party was the first, last, and ONLY 3rd political party in the U.S., and we could use it again today, in my honest opinion. I respect all the good the Masons do for their communities, but the dark side is just too much. They might feel the same about an ordinary “guy next door” who ALSO entertains himself playing violent video games and watching stepfather-meets-stepdaughter-and-stepmom porn. I’ve given them a lot worse than that to watch while they were spying on me, and I don’t feel like there’s been any choice but to TRY to educate them. They don’t like two-way streets, it seems. But taking them on in court after 9–11, when they consolidated power on a massive scale, would be like asking Batman to bring himself in for the crime of vigilantism… in a world where Batman threatened Robin and Alfred with death if they spoke about what they’d seen in the Batcave. The movie propaganda they make (Harry Potter, Groundhog Day, Mary Poppins, etc.) is WAY more fun than the ugly reality, which is that this group and others like it are putting people through trauma-based mind control to affect their behavior AND they’re getting away with it because the very concept is too monstrous to believe. Dealing with it implies dealing with everything I’ve mentioned - corrupt cops, judges, lawyers, politicians (yes, I’m talking about Presidents), store clerks, mechanics, etc. A 2 MILLION STRONG ARMY. That’s a big gang.So at the risk of freaking you out, that’s been my experience. But watch Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief, or One of Us about the Hasidic Jewish community in New York, to see how other organizations gang-stalk their members and/or enemies. If you belong to a smaller circumstance like that, then maybe the Masons/ cops can help you out.Best advice - DO NOT LASH OUT AT ANYONE! Like seeking psychiatric help, going to jail for assault or something similar will NOT help your credibility. On the other hand, IF you go nuts under the constant pressure, don’t beat yourself up too bad - it’s only natural and normal to do crazy things in an utterly insane situation. But research guerilla warfare tactics IF YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO (meaning don’t go after civilians or any living creatures, but specific, non-human targets; your goal is to get people to sympathize, not lump you in with all the crazies - that’s what THEY want from you, which is why they annoy the living crap out of you; don’t give it to them as much as possible, but don’t hate yourself on those days when you do; release the stress SOMEHOW, just do it sanely - no victims).Be honest with yourself and others, and realize that dirty prison politics are no different than every day politics. Once you’re marked in prison, nobody cares why, they just want to keep the heat off of themselves, and for those in gangs, they earn rewards for loyalty and obedience. Some are born for it - some live for that communal acceptance from SOMEONE (it works GREAT on people who come from broken backgrounds and who have low intelligence for that reason - they really NEED that sense that they’re getting approval from others, and the group can help them get promotions and better opportunities that much faster - that’s why the Nazis and S.S. sprouted up so fast; they gave tremendous opportunities to utter morons), but never forget that just as many probably wish they could get out of their respective gang obligations and simply don’t know how. In other words, for many, it’s LITERALLY nothing personal. They wouldn’t do it if they weren’t trapped themselves. Think outside the box. Consider HOW you can rescue them in addition to yourself. It is my belief that these terror tactics from the Masons and other such gang-stalking groups are directly responsible for SOME of the recent episodes of gun-related violence where people just start shooting at EVERYBODY.Gang-stalking tactics are designed to make Targeted Individuals feel alone, isolated, and like everyone is out to get them. Keep in mind that MANY of the perpetrators are trying to earn brownie points for crooked cops, they’re trying to not go to jail themselves, some have families (which is encouraged once you “get your mind right”; not only because it reassures people that you care on some level, but in a political sense, it gives the gang-leaders leverage over you in the long run), and when they’re NOT targeting you (or your family), they might just be great people to everyone else, or at least everyone else in the gang. The Masons are THE most philanthropic gang on the planet. But gangsters frequently have a very playful or benevolent public face to hide the utterly contemptable stuff they do behind closed doors.Stay sane. Stay peaceful. And as they said on Jerry Springer back in the day, be good to yourselves, and each other. Hope that answer helps (don’t mean to sound depressing, but… as Morpheus said, “Welcome to the real world.”).I’ll do what I can, if I can, and I suspect that’s still true of A LOT of people. Focus on EVERYTHING GOOD in your life.Try the ACLU. I’ve read about a couple of class action lawsuits against gang-stalking in the works, but it is SO HARD to prove, even if you’re like me and you get some leverage on those working against you, the courts are going to feel like a boxing ring, and crooked cops are some of the worst kinds of criminals around. Be VERY careful when messing with gangsters and or political power/ money. There IS a financial element too, with members giving back on some level, and to put an end to gang-stalking is to put an end to a lot of private security firms and jobs and to stop a lot of under the table finances. People have killed for less than that.Ultimately, if you can’t/won’t join’em, and/or can’t/won’t beat’em, remember this motto: “I don’t fight Fascism because I think I can win - I fight it because it’s FASCISM.”In my case I fight back by going online and telling the truth. Maybe no one but them ends up reading this stuff. I’ll never know, since most of the responses I get seem to come from my haters. But that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Best of luck - you’re not alone - and help is on the way.

Did Mauritius Tamils call their religion Tamil as well?

Yes ,Tamils in Mauritius believe that Tamil is a religion, Muruga is the Tamil god, Tamil festivals in Mauritius are the Cavadee, Tami Puththaandu (New Year) in April, Theemithi (fire-walk), and Thai Pongal. Thaipusam, the Tamil festival, is a national holiday in Mauritius and on that day the Mauritian Tamils throng the temples. For them Hindus are a people from the North of India and Tamils are from the South of India. Tamils in Mauritius mainly come from Tamil Nadu. Mauritian Tamils are around 10 % of the total population of 1.26 million. 15% of Indo-Mauritians are Tamils.Tamil Temple (Mauritius) :Constitutionally, Tamils are categorized as Hindus. But most Tamils are for Tamil as a separate identity. They have been struggling for this for almost 30 years. This movement is being lead by the Mauritius Tamil Council under the leadership of Devarajen Kanakasabee.Mauritius is the only african country where Hinduism is the largest religion. The Republic of Mauritius administration uses English as its main language.India Backing Sanskrit and Hindu tag over Tamils at Mauritius :Since 1727, Mauritian Tamils have constructed almost 125 temples. In earlier times, prayers were in Tamil. After the arrival of Brahmin priests from India, most prayers are now recited in Sanskrit. However, more recently, after the arrival of Brahmin priest from Tamil Eelam, thiruppugazh and thevarams were taught in Tamil and archagar courses in both Tamil and Sanskrit were conducted by them.It should be noted that although the Islamic, Chinese, African people have their cultural centres, the Tamil request for a "Tamil Cultural Centre" was not accepted. The view was expressed that to do so would divide the Hindu community. It is reported that India is against the propagation of Tamil as a separate culture , they say that it is Indian culture. When the festival of Thaipoosam is considered as National Holiday in many countries , it is not a National Holiday in india , not even a state holiday for Tamils in Tamil Nadu. (Tamils have holiday for Ugadi and Mahavir Jayanthi but not for important Tamil festival Thai Poosam) , how can it be called as an indian culture then, after crushing the sovereign rights of Tamils ?About Mauritius :Mauritius is a small island lost in the Indian Ocean. It is some 550 miles to the east of Madagascar. It is 31 miles long and 28 miles broad and has an area of 720 sq. miles. It was first discovered in 1507 by the Portuguese, who gave it the name of Cirne. When the Portuguese abandoned it, the Dutch came and settled there in 1598. They too finally abandoned it in 1715 the French took possession of it and gave it the name of Ile de France. it was under their administration that the country began to develop. The French governor Labourdonnais introduced from India, sugar cane, which is now the main crop. He also brought from Pondichery a number of artisans, especially joiners and masons, to teach the crafts to the Mauritians, who were then mainly slaves from Africa. Fine pieces of furniture made by those Indian craftsmen still exist. some of which are on exhibition at the Naval Museum at Mahebourg. In 1810 the English took the Island after a fierce naval battle. In this battle a good many Tamil soldiers fought with the English. Ever since then the Island has been a British Colony until 1968, the year in which it attained independence. It appears that during the French occupation, there was a considerable number of Tamils who played an important part in the economic life of the country. This is evident from the fact that one or two French newspapers of the time published in Tamil, accounts of important events and advertisements, especially auction sales. We infer from the above that among those Tamils, there were many traders and well-to-do people. After 1810 other traders came from South India, many of whom settled there. As they came single, many of them had concubines of African origin or among the French-African hybrids. A good percentage of the present creole population are composed of the descendants of those Tamils.Tamil Language in Mauritius :Though there has always been a Tamil as the Minister of Education since 1983, only 100 out of 200 primary schools teach Tamil. The situation is worse in secondary schools. Only 20% percent of the Mauritian Tamils speak Tamil now. Some can read and write Tamil to some extent. Literacy in Tamil has fallen from 60% to 20%. Most Mauritian Tamils now speak Mauritian Creole, introduced by the French settlers, that includes many Tamil words. The Ministers have been helping more in the propagation of koils in order to consolidate the Hindu religion. Regarding television, of a total of 3 channels of 24 hours per day, Tamils have a total of 10 hours per week. Television there is government owned.Incident of Hindi Vs Tamil at Mauritius :In the banknotes of Mauritius the denominations are traditionally written in English, Tamil and Hindi scripts, in that order. On October 18, 1998, the Central Bank of Mauritius released a new series of banknotes upon which the order of the latter two languages was reversed, with Hindi appearing before Tamil. The Central Bank of Mauritius reported, the reason for the change in the order. It claimed that the Tamil text would have encroached on the portrait of Sir Moilin Jean Ah-Chuen on the 25-rupee note if it remained in its original position on the note. But the Tamil community did not accept this explanation. Thousands of outraged Mauritian Tamils took to the street protesting that their language appeared last on the notes and their community had been slighted. “The controversial family of banknotes was a deliberate affront at the history of this country and more especially to the Tamil culture,” they said. The Mauritian Tamil community is only about 10% of the population of Mauritius as opposed to the North Indian Hindu community, which makes up about 40 percent of the population. However, the Tamils claimed precedence on the banknotes based on traditional practices and to have arrived on the island before the members of the North Indian Hindu community.During the protests, the Mauritian Tamil community burned effigies of the Governor of the Bank of Mauritius. Representations were made to the President of Mauritius. Tamil members of Parliament threatened to resign from their position if the new banknote design was not pulled out of circulation. On November 18, 1998, a month after the release of the new banknotes, the government of Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam asked the central bank to withdraw the notes from circulation. The Bank of Mauritius complied. It was a victory for the Mauritian Tamils. The reprinting of the banknotes cost more than 50 million Mauritius rupees. On 21st January 2000, on the auspicious day of Thaipoosum Cavadee which is a public holiday in Mauritius, the Mauritian police conducted an operation against a fugitive of the name of Dharmarajen Sabapathee also known as Rajen. He was killed in suspicious circumstances. Tamils in Mauritius were upset that such an operation was carried out on Cavadee day, which is very significant religious day for Mauritian Tamils. A Truth Committee was set up under the Chairmanship of Rama Valayden, an eminent lawyer and D. Kanaksabee as the secretary, in order to find the true cause of the killing. Rajen's funeral attracted almost 50,000 people mostly Tamilians.Following refusal from the police for organising a public meeting, the Truth Commitee conducted a huge prayer "caroomadee" attended by almost 8,000. Rajen's death has awakened the consciousness of the Tamils and they are creating a Tamil Eelam Support Committee under the coordination of Thaygaren Ramaswamy.Tamil Diaspora (pic) :Tamil Marriage in Mauritius (pic)Thaipoosam (Cavadee festival in Mauritius):References :Mauritius - WikipediaTamil on Mauritian CurrencyTamil Diaspora - Mauritius - மொரிஷியஸ்Knowing Tamils in Mauritiushttp://tamilelibrary.org/teli/mauritius1.htmlMiss Tamil Mauritius 2016 Poosei & Alangaram Competition<<Image Source from Google Images and from above referenced web sites >>

Why are churches allowed to be used as polling places in the U.S.? Every time I vote, I have to walk past anti-Mormon literature. Why is that allowed?

In my area, we have a church as a polling place.Once upon a time, that church was an elementary school. It was the polling place when it was a school as well. They since closed the school and consolidated it with another school, and then they sold the building and it was turned into a church. They briefly held elections at the local volunteer fire department, after the school was sold and turned into a church. That was stopped when a fire broke out during the election and the voters in the fire department hindered fire operations. It is primarily a fire department and it needs to be able to extinguish fires. To hold the election they had to move fire engines and firefighting equipment to less efficient places. They moved voting back to the church. It’s mostly whatever. I don’t have to stand in line for a long time to vote. I’m in and out in under ten minutes. I’m not religious, in fact I identify as atheist. I’m white, straight, cis, and male, but I’m not Christian. Would I prefer it to be somewhere else? Yes. Is it actually a problem? No. Do I want it hampering fire operations? Hell no. It could be my house burning down.Is there anywhere else we could realistically hold it? No. My precinct is a residential neighborhood with no event halls. That church is used as a meeting place for a ton of organizations, including Boy Scouts, Kiwanis, and Lions Club. None of these organizations have their own meeting halls. Other organizations have their local meeting halls in a different precinct, such as the Masons and the Knights of Columbus. Things like our Senior Center are in other precincts. To have a polling place in our precinct that isn’t the church, the city would need to purpose build one, and I honestly don’t see it being worth the money that could be better spent keeping the heroin problem from a neighboring town in their town and out of ours.
