Click on an image to unblur it.WARNING : SOME PEOPLE MAY FIND THE CONTENT DISTURBINGIt was scorching heat outside.Afternoon classes are nobody's favourites.But that day, 125 students, enthusiastically assembled in front of the Morgue House of SCBMCH to witness their first ever autopsy.The autopsy demonstration hall looked something like this:(Image : Google)As we occupied our seats in the demonstration hall, our professor welcomed us and briefed us on autopsies, their types, importance of Inquest Report and other medico legal matters.Once he was sure his students were equipped with the basic knowledge, he signalled for the body to be brought inside the demonstration hall.We held our breath in anticipation as the body was brought in, covered and then uncovered as it was laid on the demonstration table.Female. Somewhere in 40s. Spot death in a Road Traffic Accident.After basic introduction, completion of identification procedures and reading of case sheets, one of my class mates was asked to examine the clothes.After the clothes were removed, few others (including me) were asked to identify and describe the external wounds on the body, and asked questions on bruises, abrasions, lacerations etc. Nothing tough, all basics.There was a lot of teaching involved, including preservation of clothes, jewellery, instruments used, etc. I am skipping the technical details for good.Now coming to the actual autopsy, no matter how many dissections you have done, your can never be prepared enough for your first autopsy.Started from removal of the scalp (peeling an orange ?) and followed by the hammer banging on the chisel as the skull was being opened (awful noise! To give you an idea, ever tried bursting a coconut against a stone ? ); the autopsy thus proceeded from removal of the blood bathed brain, leaving an empty skull cavity to neck and other viscera.There was a lot of blood involved; nothing remotely close to Anatomy dissection. It grew intense with every passing moment, as the demonstrator tore open the body with his scalpel, removed the visceral organs one by one for examination and spilled more blood. It was, to say the least, gore.Till date, I regret sitting on the first bench on my first autopsy class.Few felt nauseated; some who tried to close their eyes were severely scolded by our professor, while others tried to focus on the teaching part, fighting the dreadfulness of what we were witnessing.As always, there were few who were totally fine.For me, I was not as much disturbed by the sight, as much I was with the realization that the 'body' that was being autopsied was alive, was another 'human', living, breathing just couple of hours ago and now it lay on the table, dead and open! It sank my heart.Anyway, the 2PM to 5 PM autopsy demonstration ended. While the body was packed, stitched and sealed, we filled our records and got them signed.The autopsy room did not leave my mind for a couple of days. Eating was difficult. I can't say if it was the same with others.Nevertheless, I got accustomed to it pretty quick and the autopsies classes that followed never actually bothered me.And yes, I spent a great deal of time afterwards, explaining my parents and relatives what it felt like witnessing an autopsy.Hope this helps.Thank You.

C. B. I Found Many New Things in Sushant ReportDoctors of the forensic department from AIIMS has revealed a shocking statement that has changed the whole case of Sushant Singh Rajput. According to the latest reports, all the forensic reports, from the doctors of Cooper Hospital, have a problem in it. This shocking statement got revealed recently by the forensic team of AIIMS. As CBI was investigating the case, they visited the Cooper Hospital where Sushant’s post mortem was conducted.But unfortunately, the officials were not even allowed to enter the premises of the Cooper Hospital. The doctors of the Cooper Hospital even denied talking with the CBI officials too. This created doubt in the CBI team regarding all the forensic reports which is why they appointed a forensic team consisting of doctors of AIIMS. And now, this forensic team has made the shocking revelation that Cooper Hospital’s reports are filled with flaws. Doctors of the AIIMS has revealed that there are discrepancies in the inquest report provided by the Cooper Hospital. The Head of the Forensic Department, Dr. Sudhir Gupta, has revealed that the conclusive report produced by them will only be provided to the CBI. The doctors of Cooper Hospital wrote in the inquest report that the cause of the demise of the actor was asphyxia due to hanging. Later it got declared that the actor took his own life out of depression. But the doctors are not ruling out the possibility of homicide. The forensic team has also come across a flaw in the viscera report of the green cloth that was used in hanging. The doctors of AIIMS are now working on their reports and will soon provide their conclusive reports to the officials of the CBI. This means that whatever reports were provided by the Cooper Hospital, were not correct at all. Also, the oil marketing companies do not take any special insurance policy or coverage for individual LPG consumers.Both, the LPG companies (oil companies) and the LPG Distributors (Gas agencies) take Third Party Liability Insurance. No premium is collected from the LPG customer. The LPG accident victims can claim insurance from the company and also from his/her local Gas Agency (distributor).This third party liability policy (public liability policy) provides personal accident cover, reimburses medical expenses and covers property damage at authorized customer’s registered premises. The sum assured given to the accident victims is based on per event (accident) and per person (victim).Below are the insurance coverage details:This is the copy of ‘Public Liability Policy’ taken by Indian Oil (Indane Gas), Bharat Petroleum (Bharat Gas) and Hindustan Petroleum (HP Gas) companies. These companies have taken the insurance policy from United Insurance Company Ltd.How to claim the insurance in case of an accident?Procedure to be followed by the LPG customers..In case of the unfortunate event of an accident, the LPG customer must immediately inform the distributor in writing.
