India needs to change!We need more jobs, job generation should be a priority.We need fresh policies related to infrastructure, development.We need quality education system and not certified “degree dealers”Today there is no one to look at the fate of MSME's.Population control should become a law.Employment laws are not only meant for blue collar professionals, we need strict employment laws for white collar workers also.Corruption is a stage 4 cancer which requires immediate & urgent treatment.It is true that we need to clean our rivers, we need to curb black money, we need more temples and mosques but the first thing we need in priority today is a right to get a respectable job in sync with our capability so that we can survive with dignity and take care of basic food, medical and household needs with respect!

I don’t support social safety nets because I’m a “bleeding heart.”I support them because they’re good for the economy and the strength of our nation. A healthy populace is a populace that can participate in the work force more effectively. A healthy populace not staggering under crushing debt from medical bills is a populace which can spend money on goods and services.A populace which has their basic food and shelter needs met is a populace which can search for gainful employment. Food stamps mean spending in local shops, which means jobs in stores, transportation of goods, and farms. (Conservatives often bitch about liberals being the food police, but you’ve never seen more stringent controls over food purchasing than a conservative talking about what food stamp recipients should be able to buy.) It should not be a radical position to say that every child should be fed lunch at school.A populace that’s paid decent wages is a populace that can spread that money around buying goods and services, which in turn, creates more jobs.We’re one of the wealthiest nations on the planet. The only argument is what we should spend our money on. If I had my druthers, it would be spent less on the military and more on infrastructure, and the welfare of our citizens.

Too many people, not enough jobs.Or, rather, too many low-skilled workers, and not enough low-skilled labor.But those low-skilled workers still have to eat and live somewhere. The demand for the basics (food, clothing, shelter, fuel) rises with the population, while the demand for labor, and thus the price of labor, falls with an increase in population.Want to help alleviate both problems? Quit importing low-skilled labor, especially into already-crowded places, and then help the low-skilled people who are already here learn a useful skill, or incentivize companies to bring back a lot of low-skilled labor jobs from overseas.If there’s one job and ten possible candidates who can do that job, all of whom are desperate for work, the employer doesn’t have to pay that much to fill that position. At the same time, all ten of those job seekers still need the basics of life, so the price for those basics will increase due to demand.
