What is it like to have a sibling of more than 10 years of age difference?

I’ve been following the answer threads for this question for a long time and was wondering if I should answer it. Anyway, here I am answering it.My brother is 20 years younger than me. Yes, you read it right. He was born on 6th June 2015. My mother was pregnant and she didn’t tell me about her pregnancy, I don’t have any clue what made her refrain from telling me about her pregnancy. After giving my 2nd year end term examinations of engineering, I was returning home to spend my summer vacation at my home in Mumbai. I reached home on 27th May 2015. When I reached home and I met her, I simply felt that she has gained little weight (because the baby bump was not visible though she was in her eighth month of pregnancy) and I even made fun of her and said, “Mumma, aap motey hogye ho. Subha ko jogging karney jayengey saath mein kal se.” (Mom, you’vegrown little fat. Tomorrow onwards we’ll go for jogging). My mom simply smiled atme and didn’t say anything. And let me tell you, I was completely cluelessabout her pregnancy.2nd June 2015, I was hanging out with my school friends and I got a call from my dad saying that mom has been hospitalized and get back to home as soon as possible. I was completely numb. I was like, “She was absolutely normal this morning, what happened suddenly?” I was shivering. When I reached home, I asked dad what’s the matter all about? He said, “We’ve been keeping something from you since very long time. I hope you won’t judge us.” All I could say was, “What’s wrong with mumma? Is she alright?” He said, “There’s going to be a new member in our family, your mom is pregnant.” I didn’t know what to say or how to react. Honestly, I didn’t even know if I should be happy or not. There are times in life when you would’ve never thought that a particular thing will happen to you and suddenly it’s there. At that moment, there was a flood of emotions, I was angry with my parents for not telling me about such a huge thing, I was sad because my mom was hospitalized and little happy because I’ll be welcoming a new member to our family. I couldn’t sleep that night. The next day, mom was discharged from the hospital (she was hospitalized due to minor blood pressure issue). I didn’t ask her anything. My father had to leave for Qatar due to his work commitments.6th June 2015: Around 9 in the morning we get a call from the hospital, there were some issues with my mom’s reports. The doctor says that they need to perform the surgery immediately as the baby in the womb wasn’t getting enough supply of blood. My father was out of country and it was only me who had to take her to the hospital which I did. My mom was admitted around 12pm and I did all the paper work, signatures. I called up some of my uncles and aunties since the doctor was continuously forcing me to get some elder member along with me. Thanks to Mumbai’s traffic, they were late and that delayed my mom’s surgery. Fast forward few hours, the baby was there. My brother was there right in front of me. He was an underweight kid, weighing around 1.7 Kg at the time of birth. He was kept in the NICU for a while. I felt proud on myself that I managed the whole situation all by myself. Dad came the next morning. He’s nine months old now. I’ve changed his diapers. God, baby’s poop stinks big time. :D I still remember when I held him for the first time, those tiny fingers, I was so scared to hold him that I may hurt him. He’s so adorable and I love him to the core of my heart. He’s the best thing that happened to me ever. I feel so blessed that I got him. I have even spend some sleepless nights, all thanks to him. :D Recently, I was talking to my mom over mobile phone and got to know that he got his first tooth.Since, he’s so younger than me, sometimes I get this feeling of motherhood, it essence, what motherhood feels like. I have taken care of him, more like my own baby rather than my brother. This is the picture of mom and my 1 day old brother:EDIT: A fellow Quoran asked me to upload his recent picture. Here are some of them. This is picture of me and him. :)

Can a boy be in BTS army? I’m 13 and I’m a big fan of BTS I love them a lot and I’m straight

HelloYes,yes and yes you can be a BTS army!💜Firstly why you are clarifying that you are straight! Any boy who likes BTS is necessarily not a gay! So,you don't need to justify yourself to be a straight.Do Beiber's, Ed Sheeran's, Shawn's etc fan boys justify themselves? Then you shouldn't too. Ok 🙃?. And if anyone mocks you that you're a Fanboy of BTS… tell them John Cena will come and break your neck as he is ult leader of BTS fanboys💜😂 and Papa mochi will come and scold you.And secondly,be a BTS army but don't indulge yourself for a whole day in stalking them because I did too when I became a new army and it's definitely not a right thing to do, if you will still have urge to check their videos, then simply listen to 'Pied Peiper song'. Complete your studies, do all your chores and then you can watch as much as you want!Btw, welcome to our fandom 💜 be respectful and love each and every one of the members.Merci beaucoup 🙃saranghaeyo!Doesn't he look handsome…Upvote if you liked my answer!💜

Can India stop China from becoming a superpower?

As a Chinese, the first time I knew there is the nation, India, was when I was still a kid back in the 1980s. A Film projection team brought the movie The Tramp (also, Awara or The Vagabond) to our village. Though the movie was still in black and white due to technology limitations, it left me a very deep impression. I was fascinated by those beautiful dances and melodious songs, and till today, some 30 years have past, I can still hum to the melody of Awaara Hoon, the theme song of the movie. As time passes by, I got to know more about India: its long history, its ancient civilization, its charming historical scenic spots, its vast land, its metropolises including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, etc., and of course, its Bollywood movies......BTW, the box office of Dangal, the Indian blockbuster here in China in 2017 was RMB1.3 billion (over US$200 million), twice of that in its home nation.I can’t say I am the representative of China here in Chinese’s attitude to India, but I can guarantee that there were indeed many Chinese had a favorable impression on India, until the India side actively flagged China as its “rivalry.”My own fancy towards India hasn’t changed even after I knew there was the Sino-India War (or Sino-India Border Conflict) in the 1960s, as there is an old Chinese saying, “A far-off relative is not as helpful as a near neighbor,” even though there might be some quarrels or even fighting between neighbors. Anyway, China and India share a border of about 2,000 kilometers. But. the border disputes were negative legacies mainly due to former British rule to India. The two neighbors are both big nations and major powers in Asia. We Chinese value “harmonious development” and think we should have harmonious relations between human and nature, among nations, among co-workers, among family members......When we call for “win-win” cooperation, we are not just taking it as a slogan, instead, we are really hoping so and inserting efforts to do so.Then, to the question: As an Indian, how do we stop China from becoming a superpower? Why should Indians “stop China to become a superpower?” If you Indians make a cake with your own ingredients, and we make ours just by ourselves, we can only have two small cakes, but if our two neighbors combine our strengths together, we might make a much bigger cake, which will not only benefit our two nations, but might also give a share to other neighbors in Asia.India is recently forging closer ties with the US, Japan, and Australia, etc., trying to form a “diamond” to contain China’s development. Compared to the other three nations, India is obviously lagging behind in various aspects. Do Indians, especially those who have a hostile attitude towards China and think it’s necessary to contain China, really think the “diamond” will work as they wish? Do they have any idea that India is just taken as a “chessman” by others? So, my suggestion would be: whether China will become a “superpower” or not, both China and India should first focus in their internal issues, to develop a more completed industry system, to catch up with the new waves of technological innovation, to build better infrastructures, to provide better education and social welfare, to create a sounder international environment...... for the two nations and their people. With a solid foundation in both sides, then join hands together, to work for a better bilateral cooperation and to build Asia into a better continent for all its inhabitants.EDITS (April 24, 2018): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit China for one-on-one summit with Xi JinpingModi to visit central China for one-on-one summit with XiAccording to South Morning Post:“Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to central China this week for an informal summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping, a meeting analysts say could help the two Asian giants reset ties.Modi is also due to travel to China in June for a regional security summit – it is highly unusual for a foreign leader to visit the country twice in such quick succession.…….The two leaders will meet one-on-one, without any ministers or advisers, and the summit aimed to redefine the future relationship of the two countries, according to Indian media reports. It will also coincide with the historic meeting between the leaders of North and South Korea.……A Chinese analyst said Modi’s visit would be a chance for the two sides to reset ties following last year’s protracted military stand-off in the disputed Himalayan border region of Doklam.”I have to say, this is really a good sign and an important move for both nations.Welcome to China, PM Modi! Welcome to China, my Indian friends!
